Biffy playing Sat?

Sorry if this has been mentioned/posted about before... well basically today i bought Q's latest edition as it was all about Glastonbury and in the top 50 acts you should see at this years Glasto. it said Biffy were playing on the Pyramid on Saturday, seemed odd as i havent heard anything about this and there seems to be no TBA spaces left so just thought if anyone knew if it was an error or what?

I was listening to the interview/live lounge they did as part of Radio 1's One big weekend, and they got asked plans for the summer (or something along those lines) and the reply was all the usual festivals including some they couldnt name....

hypothetically Biffy are booked for a surprise slot on the park do you think they could step up to the mark and headline friday? if they officially haven't been released as playing eavii could easily bump them up.I know they are not as big as u2 by any stretch of the imagination but in my opinion i think they would be an ideal replacement.

people seem to think far too much of Biffy these days, especially since they've gone wayyy downhill with their last two albums

they would never be asked to headline. that's madness

i expected them to be on the lineup this year so a secret slot seems reasonable. clashes pending, i would watch (seeing them at Leeds though so not overly fussed)

I'd go out on a limb and say they'd be the worst choice of headliner in the history of the festival. Worse than the Killers, Arctic Monkeys and Kings of Leon.... they're just bloody boring.

Basement Jaxx, Pulp, Skunk Anansie, Levellers are all smallerish acts that have done it... but that's because they ain't boring...

i think they're definitely on their way to headlining festivals (next few years / next album) but right now, nah

don't get all these comparisons with KOL though

KOL have always had nice, sing-alongy songs and their albums have always done well over here

Biffy have songs like Bodies In Flight and There's No Such Thing As A Jaggy Snake that are full of screaming, and have only recently found chart success

they've actually been playing Jaggy Snake and Bodies In Flight on their most recent tour, though i doubt they'll be doing either when i see them at Leeds

i agree they would've been good third or second under Muse, but ah well - Glasto has never been one to have cohesive lineups i guess

I'd love them to headline tbh (massive Biffy fan :P ) but they're playing a festival in Switzerland on the Friday and another festival in Luxembourg on the Sunday. I don't really see them coming back over to the UK for 1 show then having to jet back across to mainland Europe straight afterwards :P
