Lock-up

Maybe Glassjaw, but Gallows Heavy Metal's other headliner are playing Sonisphere without trouble though. Doubt it'll be Polar Bear Club as they aren't relatively big.

Just occurred to me Beatsteaks, who are small enough in the UK to be on Lock Up without the top spot (they are playing ULU the same venue as Streelight Manifesto) are headling a couple of festivals in Europe and are promoting Limbo Messiah just released here (3 years after it's german relealse) so maybe them but I'm clutching at straws.

All a bit disappointing to me as well, Alkaline Trio are just not my thing (I don't look good with black nails) though I do think they deserve to be headliners I was hoping for NOFX or Rancid like I do every year so I'm still looking for someone to see as headliners on the Sunday (Leeds) I don't want to Axl and Friends ruin my memories of the real Guns n Roses and I've never got into LCD Soundsystem.

I'm not sure that many of the bands announced on the Sunday (Leeds) will get me to move from the main stage.

Fingers crossed for Capdown to be announced after Slam Dunk!

Bad Religion/Get Up Kids is gonna be a pain for against Arcade Fire/Pendulum, seen GUP twice last year so may go with Arcade Fire. Streetlight vs. Gogol is a major fcuking pain. Against Me! vs. QOTSA yet another pain, and not sure with Sat I'm hoping once it's filled out it fill avoid clashs with Frank Turner & Gaslight Anthem.

    • While i whole heartedly agree with both these statements on a personal preference level -     ive come to reluctantly accept that bland is always popular and il normally just show myself to the other stages where the better times are to be had during the Pyramid headliner slots.
    • Sun's out today. Can feel the hills calling. Time to ramp up the energy levels. I've been easing my way in gently the last 2 weeks with the likes of Hayley and Lael Neale and Cut Worms and Maria Somerville etc. Time to unleash some Shame, Mogwai, Place to Bury Strangers and especially Wednesday and Mannequin Pussy.  Also, just back from a brilliant night in Belfast at the Fleadh Ceoil so anything with a fiddle or a whistle or a squeeze box is drawing me like the Sirens. Madra Salach with the volume up. COME ON!!
    • My Orange car park ticket turned up today. The envelope looked like some kind of junk mail offering me a loan so I nearly didn't open it!
