It will be my first time at leeds this year and i can't wait. but after looking few a few forums and videos i've seen that theres riots on the last night. dont get me wrong im all for a laugh but im not having my tent set on fire thanks.

i was wondering what was the best way of avoiding the idiots that do this?

and is it really a big problem?

thanks :P

generally people dont nick yer tent if you're by it

if you're going with a group of people, set up camp in a round and just make sure you're there the last night after the bands finish

if you're on your own, camp in green (leeds) lol, or near water towers

its not really that much to stress about

I camped in blue last year and had no problem

Actually, in 08 when the tent fires were quite bad, a lot o people seemed to give up quite quickly on tents that were well pegged down or had something heavy in, they're normally drunk and lack determination

realistically, unless you advertise your tent to people like that there's very little chance anything will happen to it

You say your game for a laugh but dont want your own tent set on fire, that is exactly how i feel, and green has been perfect for me. Brown is the "family campsite" apparently, so i can imagine that being TERRIBLY boring, like people going to sleep at 8pm or something :P

So i reccomend green, and taking a regular tent, to fit in with the rest, not like a teepee or huge bright tent etc :P
