I was trying to find some clues of the new name and so had a look on the glastonbury website. I Looked on the area bit and unless I'm being completely blind there is no info on the jazworld stage at all, this doesn't mean there removing/relocating that stage completely does it? because I know I'm not the only one who likes to chill with a cold pint of strawberry brothers in front of the jazzworld... or am i just reading into this a bit to much?

there is none at all. Just as there was no link between that stage and Noel Gallagher when it was called Jazzworld.

It wasn't me that said there was any link.

What I did say is that with the new name there'll be even more people thinking that the likes of Noel Gallagher should play on that stage than was the case when it was called Jazzworld. But that's only because there's numpties that think it's a stage for acts like him.

Fair enough. Definitely thought you were trying to give us a clue to the new name as your previous post said that you knew it, but were sworn to secrecy. Seemed strange the next line you gave us was a reference to Noel Gallagher.

That Noel Gallagher line came out of nowhere ! Still don't understand it even now.

Not had time to trawl through the whole thread, but I have to say I like the new name.

I like the fact that it reflects the geography of the farm and it has a more organic, rural feel than what I expected. I feared we'd end up with something a whole lot more commercial sounding.

The Flagutopia thing, I really don't like. Sounds like something from an American theme park. I love the beauty of all the flags around the site, they're truly wonderful, but packaging it up into a concept and giving it such a naff, commercial sounding name, does nothing for me. Glad Jazzworld didn't get a shiny, shmaltzy new name. Holts is absolutely fine by me
