Trying to map a route from Brighton using mapmyride, and it's recommending I get a ferry to France, cycle along the Normandy coast, then get the ferry back to Weymouth and cycle north from there. This tool has some bugs methinks. To be fair, that probably would be a nice journey.

and just to add to the route planning chatter: i love the sustrans site for finding all those off road paths and if you have a smart phone, there's now an ap which is mega handy, cause os maps don't show cycle routes.
