Morning all!

we're thinking of doing IoW this year, and it being out first time...was wondering:

Is there much on after the bands finish? eg silent disco...

any tips for IoW first timers (been to reading twice and glasto last year)

Hi, there is plenty going on around site after the bands finish. The Main Stage finishes around midnight on Friday and Saturday and probably about 11pm on Sunday. The Big Top finishes around 1-2am. Then after that there is a quite a lot on site until the early hours of the morning including the Hipshaker Lounge which has already announced The Apple Beatles, Charley Macaulay, The Smyths and more to be announced nearer the time. There's also the Strongbow Bar which has various DJ Sets and a few live acts I think and even more, so you won't get bored. I also see that you've mentioned Silent Disco, they have been booked for the campsite. x

I see that Squeeze and Are You Experienced are playing on the Thursday. What's the deal with this?

Sorry if this doesn't answer your question but, the deal for Thursday is that you can only get in if you have a weekend camping ticket or a festival first ticket. x

Well, campers and Festival First members only. Basically it's Squeeze headlining with support from Are You Experienced and Semi Precious Weapons, so not as much Thursday Night entertainment as other festivals, but you get what you pay for to be honest. x
