a friend got a coach ticket online because he couldent get just an average weekend camping. i thought you HAVE to go by coach if you get these tickets, just wondering if that is the case? will he be able to get his ticket and drive up and ignore the coach?

If the coach tickets are anything like the arrangements that exist for R&L it's to dowith the site's license that a certain proportion of people can't come by car (i.e. have to be on coach) and they enforce this by giving them out on the coach.

You'll just need to find some friends who're going by car and give most of your stuff to them so you can travel light (and slow!) on the bus

Surely if you were desperate for tickets the coach option isn't that big a deal. I take it the guy who's now selling them on ebay didn't pick a coach stop near his town? I went by coach in 2008, and i'm going by coach this year. You get on and they give you a ticket which you have to exchange at a ticket tent when you're inside. There's no way you'll be able to get your tickets unless you get on the coach....

I got the seetickets coach last year and we were told that we have to get the coach and we then had to stand in some queue to get wristbands. The queue was right by the car park so you could probably get away with not going on the coach. We had to get coach tickets again this year as were too late too get normal tickets.

Contemplating whether to go by car aswell as is much easier than pissing about with those stupid coaches

    • Tell me more. Last Latitude we went to was '21 - my son was young & had a wagon so we snuck good beers in that way. I remember there being some Brooklyn IPA on sale which was tolerable - are you saying they don't sell anything other than Carlsberg now?! 😳
    • Tonight was a disgrace. There wasn't *that* much rain, and it wasn’t *that* windy. A festival of this size should be able to withstand some adverse weather without it bringing the whole circus to a standstill. And if it is true that part of a speaker on the Revolut stage fell…   As for the communication - announcing Massive Attack were playing at 12:30 and then nothing for over an hour while people waited in the rain. It’s laughable it really is.   If I said I’ll never come back again I’d be lying. The shambles of Barcelona 2022 and the disgrace of Madrid 2023 didn’t stop me, so this probably won’t either.   This festival gets so much wrong, but it is always saved by having such killer line-ups. It’s just a shame it treats the fans/customers/consumers like animals. Compare it to somewhere like Glastonbury and it’s worlds apart.
