Leftfield's "Exclusive" Appearance...

Methinks whoever wrote the following on the rockness website has been led a merry dance... or is talking bullshit. YOU DECIDE...

"RockNess is extremely proud to announce that LEFTFIELD will return with a live performance at this summer's festival - a first for over 10 years and a stunning exclusive for the fast-rising Most Beautiful Festival in the World"

Considering they're definitely doing Boardmasters fest along with another two still to be announced I smell jobbies somewhere.

Which begs the question, I wonder if RN will be getting any (or have got any?) acts that are so called "exclusives" from other festivals? Somehow I doubt it. Fleeced.

Or maybe i'm just paranoid... :P

When it was announced leftfield were playing did any of you really think Rockness would be their only festival gig? Any decent promoter who had an incling that they could get Leftfield would be falling over themselves to sign them up...they are a massive draw, I dont care who else has got them, they are coming to Rockness and that's all that matters.

Anybody with a slight bit of sense will realise that acts don't play complete exclusives unless they are super acts like U2 and even then it is rare. They are a Scottish exclusive and that is enough and the best Rockness or anywhere else in Scotland can hope for.

    • RIP Roy Hattersley
    • Proper special gig tonight. They won't mean much to most people, but The Dogs D'Amour were one of the most significant bands of my youth.   Tyla, yer main man of said band, was playing in Birkenhead tonight. Not many there, but it was going fine. Then he decided he didn't like the smoke and the flashing lights so suggested moving the gig to the beer garden. Off we all went, and it was magical. Like having your favourite musician play in your garden. I absolutely loved it.   Before:     After:
