Hello again

Alas our Barfly gig has been cancelled by the promoter (boo hiss) so if anyone was thinking of coming probably best to nix those plans. We're trying to arrange an alternative London date this side of Xmas...

In better news, the rest of the band are very excited by the thought of new badges.

:P

Actually yeah, we're working on that at the moment - a nice Brizzle based band (Call the Doctor) that we played with recently are helping us out. We've got a pal in Bristol who moves in the same circles as Emily Eavis too so hopefully if we do get a gig there he can talk her into coming down... and then it'll be up to us :P

We've been on the old bat phone and may have another gig in the offing... You'll hear it here first. Will have a word with our merch girl (!) and see if she has a design in mind- then it'll be T shirts a go-go. I can also deffo sort out some EPs at cost price if you don't mind them being fairly rough and ready- like £2.50 to post you a cd with 5 tracks? Anyone interested drop me a PM and I'll sort it out X

Hi gang

Anyone who was interested in coming to our London date (which was at Barfly on 15th but was cancelled), we've pulled a few strings and we're now playing the WATER RATS in Kings Cross on Mon Dec 14th.

Onstage at 9.30pm - this is the facebook event if you fancy checking us out live!

There's a £4 guestlist before 8.45 so if you are thinking of popping down, drop us your name to bangbangsinfo AT gmail.com and we'll put you on it.

FYI I'm working on those cds for anyone who's requested them, we've just done some new demo's so might pop one of those on too :P

  • 1 month later...

Hello folks,

I've been neglecting my eFests for a few weeks but just paid the rest of my ticket up and got all excited again, so I'm BACK :P

The ETC comp has closed so I guess Emily et al are busy sifting thru all the acts now... all we can do is cross our fingers I suppose. If any of you are London-based and free tomoro night we are playing a FREE gig at 93 Ft East in Brick Lane - the details are here: http://www.facebook.com/event.php?eid=2413...862&index=1

Thanks for the support with the comp guys, I'll let you know if we hear anything :P

Sarah

    • Think Pulp are optimistic, not in terms of size but just that they've been on the road (albeit not intensively) for 3 years in a row and it feels like EotR is the deliberate end of the cycle.   Would be fairly surprised if they're active next year.
    • 👍 plus they brought their own screens 📺 either side of the stage.
    • Production was the only thing that could even explain why she would back out. Like they had sorted out the financials and she was fine with it and then a production meeting happened. It all fell apart. It was very clear that she was not going to compromise her show one bit and then that show in Brazil pretty much confirmed it. There was like one element they couldnt pull off outdoors, but it was negligible since the rest was a carbon copy of the tour she had been on. Glasto is not willing to make any bold changes on the Pyramid stage so then theyre kinda stuck in terms of what some acts want/demand. I think the easiest solution to that is putting her on Friday. You deal with the changes for one night and then re configure for the rest of the weekend. In 24 they were fortunate to have had Dua and Coldplay on Fri and Sat so they could both use the b stage. But I think it was removed for Sunday?     I saw a random rag article earlier that said Olivia Dean turned down Glasto BECAUSE her ex ( not even confirmed dating ) Harry Styles was playing the fest. hahahaha
    • No argument that he’s bigger than ever, I just have no enthusiasm for it.
    • Keep in mind those crowds were full of teenagers. Glasto aint full of teenagers. Theres no way she could demand headline and get it because they got other acts to give the slot to who deserve it with a bigger catalog. Reading/Leeds would headline her cause its still LN.  If the fest was struggling its Other headline. But a 3rd down Pyramid is likely the landing spot. Itll go down like the Camila Cabello performance pretty much.
