I like the 1st 4 albums but The Resistance is a bit turd bar Unnatural Selection and Mk Ultra. To be fair Uprising live is pretty good aswell with the we are the universe intro, i saw them at Liverpool earlier this month and although good the set was short and i left feeling a bit underwhelmed by them. if they hadn't just released the resistance i would be made up over this booking but know im doomed to disappointment in their set list.

Although largely the new album (as you'd expect) I'd say you'll get a good mix from all their albums, there are definitely two muses though, their earlier stuff which was pretty gritty and dark and their new stuff which is much more pop/rock. I like both and think that it's good that the band isn't tied to a single style all their career.

here's the set list form their O2 show on 12 November with albums noted:

Uprising (The Resistance)

Resistance (The Resistance)

New Born (Origin of Symmetry)

Map of the Problematique (Black Holes and Revelations)

Supermassive Black Hole (Black Holes and Revelations)

Guiding Light (The Resistance)

Interlude (Absolution)

Hysteria (Absolution)

Nishe (not on an album - but Showbiz era song)

United States of Eurasia (The Resistance)

Feeling Good (Origin of Symmetry)

Unintended (Showbiz)

Helsinki Jam (not on an album - new track for live show)

Undisclosed Desires (The Resistance)

Starlight (Black Holes and Revelations)

Plug In Baby (Origin of Symmetry)

Time Is Running Out (Absolution)

Unnatural Selection (The Resistance)

Exogenesis: Symphony, Part 1: Overture (The Resistance)

Stockholm Syndrome (Absolution)

Knights of Cydonia (Black Holes and Revelations)

I'd say that's a pretty good selection form across their career.

For a mixture between realistic and absolute perfect setlist - check out a few of these (in reverse album order)

Uprising

Resistance

Unnatural Selection

MK Ultra

Exogenesis Symphony

Take A Bow

Supermassive Black Hole

Map of the Problematique

Invincible

Assassin

City of Delusion

Knights of Cydonia

All of the Hysteria album, it's near damn perfect IMO

New Born

Bliss

Hyper Music

Plug In Baby

Micro Cuts

Feeling Good

Sunburn

Muscle Museum

Cave

Unintended

Know it's a long list, but if you pick out any few of those songs you won't be disappointed :P

Just been pretty confirmed Muse will play next year, I only know of there Radio hits other then that I know pretty much nothing else of them. A few tracks I’ve heard (not the radio stuff) seemed a little gloomy if I’m honest but heard a little bit of there live stuff last night & it seemed more upbeat almost dancey. What should I expect of there performance & should I get on the Muse band wagon and learn there stuff for next year? If so where should I start as I cant be bothered to listen to every album!!!
