Getting over losing someone close

Mate, I can't tell you how many times i've played over in my mind the last few conversations I had with Joe. The last thing I said to him was "Well i'll order the skip next Wednesday, enjoy your holiday". Feelings will ease, but if you really cared for him they won't pass, and if you're anything like me you won't want them to. Remembering is bittersweet, but I wouldn't give up my memories of Joe for all the world.

I just miss him so bad. Which is ridiculous because I probably wouldn't have seen him for another few weeks possibly even months anyway

The funeral isn't until next Monday. Just over 2 weeks after the incident

No witnesses have come forward which is what (I'm guessing) the hold up has been.

I feel sick thinking of where his body is right now

So that's it. Gone but never forgotten.

My first ever burial too, think I prefer it to a cremation. We had as nice a day as we could and we all went to his family's local afterwards which was nice. Whenever I've been to funerals it's always been members of my own family and we don't go out drinking afterwards.
