Right i am sure that Hybrid was on the line up for Arcadia @ 1:00am but didn't show up.

We waited till about half two & then decided to give up the ghost. caught their Cinamatic set at glade the next day & was bored to tears by it.

does anyone know what happened ? as i cant find any info on this.

Was it just lost to the twighlight zone or what ?

I saw one of the hybrid duo doing a dj set, (Chris Healings i believe) at arcadia around 1am..Were you expecting a live set? It did say on the lineup a dj set..the hybrid sound system weren't there this year..a live set though would have been amazing..maybe next year with the new album? Cheers

Oops i probably wrote that wrong.....fingers work faster than brain. yes i was looking for the Dj set....a live set would have made some wee come out.

Anyway yeh a dj set at Arcadia.....but no one showed. no reasons why either.....we had a certain young lady with us who was really gutted they didn't show then to make it worse the cinematic set was like watching paint dry. She was so hyped up about seeing them & it was like loosing her ice cream.....poor lass

Glad you liked it ,We all thought it was dull as dishwater.

taste's vary. i guess.

I did read the listings so i saw the cineramic bit (i used my eyes). We wasn't really expecting anything....just something that didn't sound so dull. we sat through it just through respect but i would dodge next time.

we live & learn eh?

but anyway still if anyone know what happened to the Arcadia dj set i would love to know as they seem like good lads & was supprised they didn't show.

just to repeat my original post...hybrid did dj..when they dj they rarely dj together, so yes hybrid did dj at arcadia at 1am..i'm confused that you missed it? but it was a bloke in that tower at arcadia, great music but not a huge live event..what were you expecting? he did a more deep prog house set - which they do now as opposed to the phat breaks they used to do..

Lol so then we saw it.

cheers mate thats what i was looking for. we was looking for some beats & was confused when the house was booming out. I was just worried that they didn't show, it would seem out of character .

Dont get me wrong we still had a cracking time but we was there hoping for some breaks.

I'm with Dan on this one concerning the cinematic set. I thought it was really great. Plenty of tracks from the Wolverine and Pelhem 123 soundtracks they worked on, plus a couple of well known movie tracks (I think I spotted themes from shawshank, the shining and heat, amongst others). There was a good level of progression in there too.

Hoping for a live set next year though... it's been 2 years since their epic saturday night dance west set... so a return next year is very much on the cards, 40th anniversary and all...

A truly live set from Way Out West wouldn't go a miss either.
