Clashfinder 2009

Ok people, due to my job being quieter than quiet at the moment, I'm working on a clashfinder for both Weston and Chelms. It will be in the form of either 1 or 2 pdfs which you can print onto each side of an A4 page, laminate and then lose in a drunken stuper on friday, at 2pm. The info I have used upto yet has been taken from the official site plus other offerings on the net. If anyone has any further info/links, please post on here and I will endeavour to compile as accurate a timetable as poss. If someone has already created one, please post here. I have searched this site, google etc but found nothing in the form of a printable doc. Im creating it by using last years clashfinder but with this years bands crudelly pasted over in microsoft paint.

I know for the last couple of years the info has been readily available at this point of the year. I'm wondering whether V Organisers are witholding info inorder to squeeze every last penny????Hopefully not on my watch though.

I will wait to see what people bring to this thread and I will keep a close eye on the net myself. I will leave it til early Aug then, when hopefully all bands (or at least most) are confirmed, post the final product.

    • Primavera refunding day tickets which are probably a negligible percentage of attendees yesterday.
    • Thursday day tickets being refunded. Fair play.
    • I’ve had a good sleep and I feel weirdly zen about the whole thing.   My first Primavera, so not the greatest first impression. I guess today couldn’t be any worse, right?   Thoroughly enjoyed Men I Trust and Geese. Cupra is a beautiful stage and the crowd seemed fun, friendly and engaged.   I think it probably could have gone even worse, considering how dangerous the crowding felt at times.   Anyway, we go again.
    • Brighton centre is a weird old venue for the Mary Wallopers - a great band, a really good live spectacle, and its a saturday night as well which sets it all up - but its at the bloody Centre? a charmless nonsense of a conference centre? Brighton dome is a ten min walk away and is so much nicer a place to see bands its ridiculous!    ah well, i'll probably mosy along anyways . . .
    • So bad honestly. I get that bad weather happens but their communication was non existent. When you're managing crowds of tens of thousands of people, it's just not good enough. I left when Massive Attack was cancelled (the first time) and it genuinely did feel unsafe trying to get out. No one knew what was going on, people still sitting in the ground when there were hoards of people trying to leave, no crowd management at all...   I've been to PS enough times to know sometimes you need to just roll with it but this was way worse than "the bar queue was 30 minutes long".    Today will be better but still feel super disappointed.
