Apparantly there is a drop off point for taxis etc at a layby opposite Steanbow Farm.

How close is this to the entrance gate A?

too far to be walking along roads where the drivers won't be expecting pedestrians......

though it's not too far from the festival bus station, so whoever told you this might mean that...

I don't think your taxi will have the appropiate pass to go anywhere but the drop off/collect point...

just to clarify what I've wrote, the drop off/collect point is *not* the bus station...

Thsi is my reply i got from the festival help line in reply to the White route drop off:

"No, for your driver will not be able to get off the main road. You could be dropped at the layby opposite Steanbow Farm on the Glastonbury town side of the site (Taxis only) , on the A361 - but woud need to approach from that direction otherwise will need to get dropped at the Bath and West Showground (Drop and Collect Point) and use the free shuttle to the site."

We will be arrivng from the West so there must be another drop off point??

shrug, if the festival told you that, then it must be true

I guess it makes sense though, as bath/west is on the east side of the side, so making those from the west goto the east seems illogical..

It's an easy walk , just keep an eye on traffic as don't remember there being any paths, just a verge

Right i got it sorted at last, got a reply from them

"Its 400 yards from the pedestrian gate"..........result!

Shame we have to trek it all the way to the South Park field though which is a nightmare with loads of baggage!!

Panic over, i hate having to organise things for 15 people. The last thing i wanted is for them to start moaning about having to trek too far!

Is there a reason you need to use PGA? Gate D would be quicker.

Apparently you cant get dropped off at gate D (White Route) without a pass which is a massive shame, its strictly for people driving up.

I checked this with the offical site just to make sure.
