I hoped they would come back on... shows there were no proper bag checks coming into the festival then, didn't even glance in mine at all. Honestly fancy throwing scissors

the scissor thing was a missunderstanding apparently. i was by the stage when it happened and their tour manager said that someone threw something on stage and when brian looked down he saw a small pair of scissors and thought someone had thrown then at him. i think we'd all be a bit pissed off if that happened to us so he left the stage briefly to speak to his tour manager and security. whats transpired is that the scissors had been left on stage by one of the crew and this led to the confusion.

the funniest thing about it was after they came back on and asked people not to throw stuff onto the stage. someone immediately threw a cup of beer onto the stage. classic. dont play at a festival if you dont expect stuff to be getting thrown about. scissors is a bit too far, but as people were saying they were never thrown.

looked like a spoilt kid storming off like that. goon.

Whether the scissors were actually thrown is irrelevant. He THOUGHT someone threw scissor at him and therefore left the stage. Being worried about ones SAFETY does NOT make one a diva, it was a justifiable act. Though, I must say I am not at all surprised people are calling him a spoiled brat and a diva for doing that, I bet at least one douche would call him that even if he was severely injured :D

Headline: Brian Molko's head cut off during a gig, the singer storms off stage!

Random w*nker fan: WHAT A DIVA!

I think that Brian was perfectly justified to walk of of stage if thats what he thought had happend. And you couldnt really expecty someone of that status to admit to a sily mistake about something being thrown so fair anough him telling the crowd not to throw anything.

But that was shocking that they didnt play their full set.... Some fo us have waited years to see placebo(like me) and then we find that they done play nancy boy, pure morning or the bitter end. :D For that i am anoyed, not because brian stormed off the stage.

but anyway...

forgive and forget.:(

    • Tonight was a disgrace. There wasn't *that* much rain, and it wasn’t *that* windy. A festival of this size should be able to withstand some adverse weather without it bringing the whole circus to a standstill. And if it is true that part of a speaker on the Revolut stage fell…   As for the communication - announcing Massive Attack were playing at 12:30 and then nothing for over an hour while people waited in the rain. It’s laughable it really is.   If I said I’ll never come back again I’d be lying. The shambles of Barcelona 2022 and the disgrace of Madrid 2023 didn’t stop me, so this probably won’t either.   This festival gets so much wrong, but it is always saved by having such killer line-ups. It’s just a shame it treats the fans/customers/consumers like animals. Compare it to somewhere like Glastonbury and it’s worlds apart.
    • Yeah, I admit that a small part of me felt relieved when they announced that MA are canceled.. But on the positive side- got to see Florence Road afterall, and they were great
    • Glad I could take the €3 bus to Playa Catalunya! Hope y'all warm and dry up.
    • Taxi mafia running their usual scam.
