Its that time of year again when glastonbury is fast approaching and all some of us can do is talk about it 24/7 whether it be ponderng over what this years event will hold or beginning our in depth preparation.. anybody feel that they may be obsessing a little bit?

I know I am..! (but lets face it, preparation is all part of the fun )

I've actually spent the afternoon looking out some stuff to show someone and have been flicking through old programmes, reviews, posters etc from the years I've been - 2003/2004/2007/2008. Brings back good memories.:blink:

In 2003 they gave you a cuff guide of the site with your programme, neck guide etc, had completely forgotten about them! Very handy for getting around when you didn't have a clue where you were. (my first year) :)

def obsessing. insisting on going on about it to my partner each night whilst watching you tube stuff of previous; loving the Go Your Own Way Wine Bar clip.

Writing endless lists of things to take. had a tent, convinced myself it just HAD to be bigger so got another. Even though i know i've bought and paid for tickets, i've rung Seetickets on 2 occasions just to hear them say 'yes you have a ticket bought and paid for'. i took a new tack yesterday and asked them to email me confirmation...

Am i obsessing...a little i think...but I LOVE IT!

Looking for a good place to post my first message on these boards and this likes a good place as any!

I went to my first Glasto in 2007 and sadly couldn't make it last year. All told I've been obsessing about going again since June 2007!

Reading all the posts and enthusiasm here is making me even more obsessed and excited.

I went camping near Cheddar for my birthday last weekend and couldn't resist swinging by Glastonbury and Pilton. Was just so amazing to see those hills and that landscape and knowing I'm going to be there having the time of my life in just a few weeks was beyond words.

WOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO

My dad is a 'back in the day' glastonbury goer and decided to take me in 2002 and ive been hooked ever since!! Got back in 2003 but unfortunately was a victim of the 'tickets are like gold dust' period and didnt get to go back until last year, was awesome and so different yet similar to what I remembered.

Can't waiiiiiit!!

    • Brazil's first half was genuinely dreadful all round, not just the midfield, so they're absolutely not bulletproof. Whether Scotland have the quality to take advantage is a different question.   Tbf, that's as much on Morocco looking good, which I did think was a possibility. They could be a bit annoyed with themselves not to have scored more before Vini's goal tbh.
    • Surely nowadays with so much data analytics available on every division in world football and so much awareness that people aren't suckered in on the basis of a decent World Cup game... right?   Although tbf, from what I saw, Australia's game plan worked very well. But that was as much thanks to Turkey blowing varying opportunities given they created enough chances but couldn't finish, a la what happened with Switzerland against Qatar when they really could and should've won by 3/4 goals.
    • I missed Viagra Boys for a good spot for Gorillaz. Was a nice weekend and festival for me. Would definitely come back, if the line up is right. Get back home safe everyone.
    • The Last Temptation - new Heaven 17 documentary film directed by James Strong. Premiered at Sheffield Docfest this weekend.    I really enjoyed it. Affectionate, insightful, and honest. A nice mix of archival and footage, interviews and clips from the last tour. Martyn and Glenn are like an old married couple.   Plus a snippet of news from the Q&A, Martyn is recording new BEF material, and Phil Oakey has collaborated on the one of tracks. The film shows them meeting in Fagans for the first time in over 35 years.
