getting in some training

We started our glastonbury training with a nice 7 mile walk yesterday as a warm up for all the yomping about the site we'll be doing.

Feeling a bit stiff in the hips today but not as bad i we thought we'd be.

Last couple of times we reckon we covered a few marathon distances while we were there for 5 days and as we've had a car for past year we find we're not walking as much so we have decided to take our time and build up our leg strength again.

Does anybody else feel the need to get themselves fitter to take on the huge site and all it's wonderfull and wide ranging things to do and see or is it just us sad oldies who worry that that we won't be able to last the pace lol.

Hey there Falkirk Bairn. Not specifically for Glasto but I've climbed a couple of Munros recently and already I've already noticed a big difference in my legs. Plan to squeeze in a few more before the end of June, hopefully I'll find stomping around Glastonbury for 5 days a doodle by then! :(

i need to do a bit more excercise for getting fit again. I spend 16 hours at the weekend at work on my feet walking and i know i can walk long distance pissed managed 7 and a half miles home in around 3 hours.

walking onto the site will be fun though full pack from PGA to pennards will just have to keep moving i guess maybe do some practice with weights in a bag when i go for a run
