Oh good, I thought I was the only one! Have already emptied the "tool bag" checking tent pegs, bungee cords, gaffer tape etc all present and correct, made a note of things to buy and checkec tent all ok. Wellies also sorted as got to wear them in the snow last month so can guarantee they are still watertight. Also purchased spare mobile phone battery just yesterday to add to the bag. Exciting!

Grangers Fabsil in aerosol or liquid form etc. for proofing a tent.

I've always used Fabsil and my tent stayed dry in 2005 and 2007. I now have a new tent and I will be giving it the same treatment! Fabsil is also good to spray on kagouls (haven't got a clue if that is spelt correctly) as it helps them to stay waterproof especially at the seams.

In a way I have as what I am currently carrying around with me up the East Coast of Oz in me rucksack is what I will be bringing back to wear in the UK over the summer. Half of the contents is all hippy wear picked up at many of the various ethnic markets me and Chocky have frequented these past 3 months. Just need to re-NikWax the rain mac and me is ready for the hot/wet British summer (altho the turquoise Nepalese strides have a tendency to turn my legs blue if I get them wet!) :P

I got some ponchos from Asda last week. They are a £1 in the travel bits section that is normally found on the end of the aisle. I think you get two in a pack so not bad value!

I also have some new pumps as I am hoping for good weather so I won't be in wellies for 5 days! Although the wellies are still being taken! ANd the tent is being waterproofed this weekend if the weather holds out long enough. I'm feeling that if I prepare for the worst it may not happen!
