Daft Punk's not a bad call. I'd like to see Faithless again but it would be the third time so doubt that's going to happen.

What i'd also like to see is some more mainstream music in the late afternoon. A bit like when the Zutons played or when the Scissor Sisters did. From a purely selfish point of view i've suggested a Stone Roses tribute band but doubt they'll ever go for that!!

I look forward with anticipation to see what they announce!! <_<

  • 2 weeks later...

I've never been before, but how much dnb is on?

I'm hoping that chase and status will play at least, maybe some of the hospital records lot too.

There was the ape tent. I was in there there for bout 2 hrs and i swear my ears started to bleed. :) in a good way the bass was amazing. Andy c who was amazing.

Nois, dj hype, subfocus, high contrast where also a few big names who played. I'm hoping there is a dnb tent. And as for chase and status i saw them last weekend with plan B i thought they where amazing, one problem the singer was miming, and it was really noticable during "pieces" and "No good"

by the "singer", do you mean that plan b was miming or was this someone else? coz id be surprised and a bit annoyed that plan b mimed as Im a bit of a fan of his too, and he is really good live on his own.

Nowt wrong with a bit of hip hop

plan b was f***ing awful, mimed, stumbled his way around stage, jumped afew times, that's about it. massive let down.

chase & status got everyone going, thought they were alright... didn't make much of their tune with snoop tho.

    • Plenty of good stuff this month. Very difficult choice, but I'm going with some of those I've listened to most (the sunny weather may also have been influential)...   1. The Coral - 388 2. Kurt Vile - Philadelphia's Been Good to Me 3. The Lemon Twigs - Look For Your Mind!   Others I've been enjoying... Laurie Anderson's live album, Broken Social Scene, Pigeon, The Black Keys, etc
    • Yesterday was was Primavera is all about and a reminder of why I come back every year. I saw 9 acts, very diverse in terms of genre and vibe, and most of them were great.  Highlights:   The Cure - have wanted to see them for years. Finally caught them and it was immaculate. Robert Smith's vocals at his age are incredible. The band sounded exactly like the albums which is impressive. 2.5 hours with basically no filler somehow.  Viagra Boys - what a front man! So much energy. Non stop moshing. Sound was great, vibe was top notch. Again 10/10 for me.  Rilo Kiley - basically what pipan said. Not a huge crowd but nice vibe, good sound. Different from the other acts I saw.   I also enjoyed the late night electronic stuff with Aurora Halal and KI/KI being fun. Caught some of Skrillex before Aurora Halal and it was cool in it's own way but not really my thing so we left.
