If you've got someone who is willing and sober enough to drive, I'd definitely recommend it. You can arrive and leave when you want, you can take as much stuff as you can cram into the boot - beers, a trolley, food, whatever, you've got somewhere to keep your beer and spare clothes dry, and even with sharing the cost of petrol, it'll almost certainly work out cheaper than each buying a coach ticket.

That said, it DOES mean that someone has to pretty much stay off the booze etc on Sunday night...

Cheers, Yeah i think to be honest the car is the best option like cause i ave heard of horror esc stories of waiting for hours for coaches and like them not turning up and that. I just wanna get there and get myself a nice beer/ cider whatever tickles my pickle.

Worth noting that - particularly if the weather is bad - it can take verrrry long time to get out of the car parks unless you leave very early, or late afternoon.

In 2007, my friends in a car took 8 hours longer than me to get back to London. I was on the train. :P

Conversely, if the weather is good, and luck is on your side, you can find you drive straight off.

It's all swings and roundabouts.

I think i'm getting a choo choo train this year. What i'll do when i get to the station is a mystery, though. I hear they do shuttle buses but i don't have a clue where they are or how often they run. I have to be there a day early because i'm working, too.

...i'm starting to stress already!!!

    • Proper special gig tonight. They won't mean much to most people, but The Dogs D'Amour were one of the most significant bands of my youth.   Tyla, yer main man of said band, was playing in Birkenhead tonight. Not many there, but it was going fine. Then he decided he didn't like the smoke and the flashing lights so suggested moving the gig to the beer garden. Off we all went, and it was magical. Like having your favourite musician play in your garden. I absolutely loved it.   Before:     After:
