AEG are a huge and also are in bed with other promoters such as Kilimanjaro who run Sonisphere and various venues.

Rob Da Bank as far as am aware is still the organiser and curator for Bestival (and Camp Bestival) and he runs it independantly although Loud Sound do the production side of things.

I think the closest Ive come to hearing anything from Flaming Lips was when the singer did vocals for a Chemical Brothers track. But Im intrigued to hear them, so defo gona check'em.

Paul dragged me to see The Flaming Lips at the secc a couple of years ago, got to say i'd never heard of them before and wasn't particularly expecting anything. The gig itself goes down as one of the most entertaining nights i've ever had.....I was even surprised to realise that i actually recognised a couple of their songs too. I'm pretty sure they will be a fab addition to the line up and if you can think outside the box and appreciate the work that has gone into their live show you will love it
