If you read back the main Lizzo thread which was updating in real time during G19 you will see people losing their marbles and a lot of people saying she'd be an absolute shoo-in as a headliner. Nothing much has changed since then in principle and she's racked up a couple of other big tunes..... but I don't think the balance has quite tipped in terms of making her a natural choice. That said - - people are wanting wildcards. And if the Eavii were so out of options as to give it to her she wouldn't phone it in.

Dua won't be planning a larger tour for next year, but who knows - like an Adele or a Stormzy she'll know the gravity / magnitude of the offer and maybe pull together a one off show for it?

Lizzo's smart enough of a cookie to realise how big a deal her G19 show was in terms of a career boost in the UK. Doing it as a one-off isn't outwith the realms of the possible.

Can't stress enough how getting Lizzo in a prominent position will be a win for G23.

The boycott is specifically about the occupation. Other countries do awful shit, but the PACBI boycott is a response to a unique situation. A vaguely similar parallel at this point of time would be Ukraine, and plenty of people are boycotting Russia - or Russian acts are being let go from bookings, as we saw with Nina Kraviz at G22. He discusses his politics in interviews fairly regularly - and it occasionally slips through in The Red Hand Files. The most recent interview I read he was bigging up Andrew Sullivan.

As right on as this is, that's also true of Duff McKagan and the lads. Cave is an avowed right-winger, mind.
