I think there’s legs in this. If you churn up the letters you do get RHCP and the fact flea posted a picture of the Pyramid Stage. Got to mean something. They are also actively touring. Saw them in Brisbane a few months back and I thought they were alright. The fact they didn’t play Under The Bridge didn’t go down well though.

I’m sure Roni Size confirmed he was playing.

As the majority of announcements are made during the working week, is The Thingy able to break it down to the day which announcements are made? Would be good to know which day is prime for an announcement. Probably a bit late for this year but something to think about for next year.

Courteeners say same day. When they played in 2008, it was on Saturday 28th so they must mean the day (Saturday), rather than the date.

It would be interesting to see weather predictions for the next 10 days from 5 or 6 different weather sites, put them in a spreadsheet/table and then check them off each day to see which ones produce the best results. We can then claim that one as our ‘trusted’ source. Any takers?

I’ve been to approx 15 Glastos and always make a list of who I want to see. In reality, I end up seeing about 5/6 bands/acts that I wanted to see and will often sacrifice going to see someone that I’ve wanted to see for ages because at the time I was having a lot of fun doing something else, usually something completely random that Glasto continuously keeps on offering up. It really isn’t about the line up. The line up is just an excuse to put on the rest of the stuff. Look at how much fun you have on Wednesday when next to nothing is on.

Mapmyrun also let’s you plot your own route and gives you accurate distances. Times are dependant on too many variables, distances are fixed. If you have distances, you can add something like Average times per 1km Low peak - sunny - 15 mins High peak - sunny - 25 mins Low peak - muddy - 20 mins High peak - muddy - 35 mins

I’d be keen to know distances between each venue as the walking times already suggested seem a bit inflated to me. With distances you can then factor in the variables such as mud, how busy it is or current state. The distance will remain the same……unless you are zig zagging all over the shop.
