I think everyone might have got their hopes up a bit for a name drop today... After all this time I think it would be incredibly underwhelming to drop a name in panel discussion which isn't televised or radio transmitted and isn't even directly about the festival... Doesn't feel right and I can't tell if y'all are joking or not that you're really expecting it... Don't think Emily is the type of person to draw attention away from an important discussion by self promoting the party in her back garden. idk...maybe I'm wrong

Was my last time this year, always done that one with the kids since they were tiny as its just up the road from me. But even they've had enough of the people that go. Literally the worst crowd behaviour I've ever seen. Not just a couple of chairs. People block off full circles with 10+ of them so they can dance in their little space in the middle. One group had 15 chairs in a straight line and they'd made sure that they were sat so no one could get in between them. Idiots told us to go around.... Well you couldn't because then the next group of people were set up. I said am I heck and lifted my daughter over them and then climbed over myself. Disgusting. Never again. I WISH I had have taken photographs. It was so, so dangerous if they needed to get anyone out.

Only way to stop that is to actually have some stewards wandering through the crowds monitoring and educating... giving people a heads up that there's a little more space up front and to let people through if they're happy where they are. We did see some for the first time in the Elton crowd last year asking people to collapse their chairs etc but they could have just been doing so much more I thought...

Don't get me wrong, absolutely agree with this and this is exactly my mindset too. I wish everyone had that. But they've still got to entertain the crowd that's onsite and get it right for crowd control. That can't just happen overnight, crowd behaviours and the regulars and all that. We'll see. I literally enjoy whatever I'm at, I'm so easily pleased. Just trying to see things from a different point of view and that point of view could well be valid. Time will tell.

I don't know... playing devils advocate here but whilst I don't agree with the whole 'who?' ignorance... (unless if it's to wind up The National fans 😜)... I think when you get that many 'who's?' It does somewhat say something and you can't just completely dismiss that... at the end of the day Glastonbury isn't just for the kids and it's no good telling people they're just not cool enough. That's what makes it a somewhat risky booking. It's not even about who deserves it, credentials etc. It's a big old field to fill and could end up with other parts of the festival very busy which they obviously have to be considering with all their bookings. There'll be plenty of young people who don't automatically know/like SZA just because they are young... I'm sure there'll be plenty of young uns who will still be elsewhere on site. Anyway, who knows. We really won't know until the day!! But there are other insights and data they have accessible to them which we don't. They have everyone's age etc on their memberships and that will be linked to other see tickets data about the types of acts those people are interested in etc. They know who's coming. Maybe they know it'll be alright 🤷🏼‍♀️ Anyway, I'm alright I've heard and listened to SZA so I'm pleased that it makes me cool and up to date 🤣😊

Make no mistake about it, it's a gamble and a huge talking point. It's always paid off in the past. I'm here for it and just trying to get over myself that it's not my personal choice and would have preferred gambles in other musical genres, but hey ho. Sounds like they didn't really have any other option if the other rumours were true. It will absolutely give SZA one hell of a bump up in her career I think! Fantastic for her. Not the worst thing in the world to elevate the status of Glastonbury across the pond as well. She's a better headline than the coachella bunch... My friend's 10 year old will be absolutely buzzing, especially if we get Burna Boy and D Block Europe too... that's her generation sorted and locked in for the future 👍🏼🤣

Of course people like the rumours! No one is saying they're a load of rubbish. But that is all they are... rumours. Some turn out to be true, have a medal. The issue is people saying "its locked, because so an so said" when in a lot of cases this year, it clearly wasn't lol. The FACT here, is that the rumours have been changing constantly. And anyone who questioned and said "not sure about this Stevie thing...it's completely out of the blue and can't see it happening" was shot down because of the holy information. Low and behold...the lesson is, the holy info is not always "locked" and that's why its been fun to take the mick out of it and have a JOKE and continue speculation. No need to take things personally. Not everyone here (me included) knows about this random history of the battle of the glasto forums. Lots of us here weren't around and weren't involved and we dont know these people and we don't care about this random forum rivalry. Doesn't matter whether the source posted here or anywhere, Stevie obviously wasn't locked. But it was a fun wild rumour that would have been great if it came to pass. Let's move on
