  1. Soz mate. I've undone my downvote and given you a new upvote to say sorry.
  2. On Sunday in 2007 I was having an absolutely soggy miserable comedown and watching MIKA honestly cheered me up no end.
  3. This isn’t a bad idea you know. Glastonbury is secure enough in its identity to offer its platform to people who need it and who don’t get it anywhere else. Most sensible thing you’ve said.
  4. Hate to be the one to break it to you pal but that feeling that it's increasingly filled with kids is because you are in fact getting old.
  5. Even outside of festival time I get my shampoo, conditioner, and shaving soap from a place called Harvest in Birmingham (I started using them after my partner's sister got me some as a gift). All totally natural and minimal packaging which is all paper. Probably a little pricier than the bigger eco-brands but the stuff does last a good while. I get about two months out of a shampoo bar and three out of a conditioner bar with daily use, though I've got short hair. https://harvestskincare.co/
  6. Yeah he did it at Liverpool arena in 2011 as well. As well as Wonderful Christmastime with a full children's choir from LIPA because it was December 20th. setlist.fm reminds me that there were ten songs in the encore that night which is maybe a Bit Much.
  7. I think that Raspberry Berliner is going to be a great festival choice.
  8. I've not read through everything in this thread but in 2019 I took two cases of beer from North Brewing Co, who are based near where I live in Leeds. Their Pinata is a mango and guava pale which was juicy and delicious at all times of day, even when the tins warmed up. Sputnik, which is a more bitter English style IPA was really only any good once it had been dark for a few hours. I'm taking the bus this year so will be switching from two cases of little cans to one case of tall boys but I'll probably stick with something hoppy and juicy from them or Northern Monk - I expect Faith would work well.
  9. I've stayed in Worthy View the last few times I've been for reasons that I don't need to go into here BUT this was my exact approach before we switched. Don't plan a shower into your day, just grab one whenever you're near Greenpeace. In and out in twenty minutes at that time of day.
  10. Father John Misty Jack White Fontaines DC
  11. In 2007 I don't remember seeing a performance that wasn't in the rain to be honest.
  12. I hope that Yard Act are on somewhere else at some point as I know is common with the Left Field headliners - despite living in Leeds they're near the top of my list of bands I want to see and haven't yet but I'm not into them running over the start of McCartney. Also great to see Jamie Webster on there. I assume he won't be doing the sort of set he used to do at a BOSS night.
  13. I'm generally due a little cry sometime on the Sunday evening, to be honest. A combination of the festival catching up with me and nearly being over - as others in the thread have said already. All it takes is a sad song that I like and I'm away. It's one of the milestones in my weekend and my cue to step up my party for the last night. There are a few that I guess are particularly memorable - Postcards from Italy by Beirut in 2007, Tender by Blur in 2009, Push the Sky Away by Nick Cave in 2013, Lord Anthony by Belle & Sebastian in 2015.
  14. Daft Punk 100 Depeche Mode 25 (-10) Elton John 82 Kate Bush 93
  15. Daft Punk 100 Depeche Mode 95 Elton John 70 Kate Bush 110 Nick Cave 75 (-10) I know we're not supposed to have discussion in this game but every time I downvote Nick Cave I want to caveat that I really love Nick Cave. His sets in 2009 and 2013 were incredible! But also they were really poorly attended and I'm just not sure he'd bang as a headliner.
