  1. Worked for Hancock… Cameron’s return seems to be another scraping of the barrel.

  4. He’s 100% going to win, isn’t he? They’ll edit it so he’s a ‘man of the people’, not a horrible racist.
  5. https://www.theguardian.com/politics/2023/nov/08/claims-and-conspiracies-and-pulling-the-trigger-on-johnson-dorries-book-tells-all Nadine’s book is out soon…
  6. Useless Dowden on Laura Kuennsberg shirking all responsibility for him and the government over the Covid response. Has anyone so inept ever had so many high-profile jobs?
  7. We’ve been an embarrassment the past five years. One of our last managers only had proper experience working with youth and got very defensive at a fans’ forum when challenged on the dour, negative, defeat-driven football, saying he should be ‘managing England’ with his qualifications. He got those on a management course with Steven Gerrard.
  8. We were 7-0 up in that match! Obviously result of the day and an amazing achievement but that late flurry of Swindon goals irks a little.
  9. I think Fulham might take points off them, they’ll beat Luton and then an Everton win confirms his fate. Is Galatasaray away still a ‘Welcome to Hell’ trip?
  10. What is wrong with her? I genuinely believe she must have gone through some harrowing experiences to be this evil.
  11. Should we all just moan at Vodafone (was it?) and hope they give us a free ticket like that person did last year?
  12. Will it though? https://x.com/inzyrashid/status/1720206002933436485?s=46&t=0L-HQje0RJTtiVIvA-C-dQ
  13. It’s horrific stuff, but perhaps exactly what you’d expect from a man organisation that had Boris Johnson at the top. Do you think it’s changed now?
  14. They said on the radio it’s essentially an evaluation of the response and what learnings can be made from it for similar issues going forward. Some of that is embarrassing/horrific for some (where the soap opera element comes in) but in theory it should be a worthwhile exercise. I’m with Stevie, apart from not being able to see friends and family, lockdown was nice - showed what life could and should be like with the slower pace, time to walk and exercise (for one hour a day), read books, mess around in the sh*t thread on here and being able to hear nature over traffic!

    2024 Headliners

I enjoyed Bruce in 09! The people around me didn’t… They seemed to get a bit restless until he pulled out the closing songs/encore.
  16. The one time I went to T in the Park, a girl went behind an ice cream van, squatted down and had a massive poo.
  17. The IOW crowd would lap up the drawn-out Hitchin a Ride and ‘random’ crowd member pulled out of the crowd trick Green Day have been doing for over 20 years. They’ve also got Basket Case, American Idiot, Good Riddance and Wake Me Up When September Ends for big singalongs - probably on a par with the hits Pulp have that appeal to that audience?

    2024 Headliners

Yes, big Bruce fan and 2009 fell flat. Wrong setlist for a Glasto crowd that wanted to sing along to Born in the USA (they had not done their research).
  19. Very sad news. Obviously you never know what’s going on but he didn’t seem to be in a good place in any recent public appearances.
  20. Has anyone talked about the PJ Harvey Gunnersbury Park show with Big Thief supporting?
  21. Where would he play? Third down on the Pyramid maybe?
  22. I really like Yawn and Yawny Yawn! Feels like he’s underrated by so many. He played a great set at Williams Green a couple of festivals ago but made some reference to ‘dickheads in bucket hats’ during it.
