  1. Looking at going somewhere UK based in the Feb half-term for two or three nights with a 2-year-old in tow. Any suggestions? He’s quite active and outdoorsy but my wife isn’t so need to find a balance. Also had plans to go to Disneyland Paris at the end of July for my 40th but then realised the Olympics are taking place and can just see travel/prices being a nightmare.
  2. Billing from Bournemouth called the medic right away and opened his airway. Could well have saved his life with that action.
  3. I’m in the new development near the Centre for Health. I was schooled in Aldershot but finished secondary school in 2000. Definitely going to give that documentary a watch’ Finished 5-3 after being 5 down. Eastleigh were nervous towards the end!
  4. Aldershot 3 down at home to Eastleigh at half time. Normal service has been resumed.
  5. https://x.com/thelastleg/status/1735793362161037671?s=46&t=0L-HQje0RJTtiVIvA-C-dQ A real ‘Gotcha’ moment. Might it derail her leadership bid as it shows she doesn’t carry out due diligence on people approaching her? The right wingers are livid in the responses about them ‘wasting an MP’s time’. Is blabbering on about small boats and a campaign that was never going to work also wasting a lot of time?
  6. We deserved that win. More than matched Stockport, who are a very good League Two team. I’d have given Man of the Match to Cian Harries, who was immense at the back. Also very concerned about losing Josh Stokes in January!
  7. So, Rishi passes the vote with ease - a sign they might be clubbing together? Or his breakfast meeting did the trick? Who knew a bowl of Coco Pops could work such wonders.
  8. Do we think Jenrick will be the first of a few to go this week?
  9. It’s clearly low and not enough for most to live on but is £26k that different to the average ‘shop floor’ worker nowadays? https://www.avtrinity.com/uk-average-salary#:~:text=The median average salary for, from £31%2C285 in 2021). What is the average salary in the UK? In April 2022, the median gross annual pay in the UK was £27,756. What is the average salary in England? In April 2022, the median gross annual pay in England was £28,000.
  10. I’ve been watching Uncanny on iPlayer and listening to the podcast. I really like Danny Robins’ approach to examining from both sides. The question for this thread is have you/anyone you know had a paranormal or supernatural experience and are you a believer or not?
  11. But as shown with the person who moaned at Vodafone (was it?) last year, that kind of abuse can pay off… For those who weren’t successful, what festivals are you thinking of going to instead? 2000 Trees, Barn on the Farm, End of the Road on my list of potentials… Either that or put more money towards a big summer holiday for my 40th.
  12. Keeping an eye on the page as people on here claimed they got tickets around this time last year… Doubt it will happen but you never know.
  13. Well, if we believe the festival statement they said they rearranged so more people could re-register etc (despite them having received multiple emails asking you to check your details etc). Logic would suggest more people signed up or re-registered and therefore would be trying today? It was a main story on the BBC News alongside the Madge rumours to get it even more in the public domain.
  14. The most crippling feeling when it finally changes from the holding page and then tells you it’s sold out. Still annoyed they changed the date for this one to allow more people to try…
  15. He has the magical power, doesn’t he?
  16. I’m sure this has been covered and it’s definitely a digital luddite question but do you have to do anything for auto refresh or is it just a case of letting the clock run down naturally once on the page?
  17. Uncanny on iPlayer- great. Actually, maybe we should start a thread about paranormal experiences and whether people are sceptics or believers?
  18. Nowhere near the booking page on two devices (one Wi-Fi, one 5G). Try again Sunday.
  19. Does this mean we can break any other law if we want to?
  20. The Labour rebellion is top of BBC News and the Daily Heil (Starmergeddon)…
  21. Suella’s letter seemed to hint that she - at least - was preparing to lose.
