Yeah I live literally 5 minutes from Eden. It's a really nice area, lots of nice beaches and walks. Don't bother with st austell town centre, it's a run down hole unfortunately. Charlestown it's well worth a visit, a picturesque historic harbourside with nice restaurants and bars. Also Fowey is really nice and has boat trips and probably the best pubs in Cornwall, The galleon is a favourite and has bands on Friday and Saturday nights. Enjoy your weekend mate, NIN were amazing last night from what I've heard.

Well my 7.05 train from mid cornwall is now arriving at 15.45.. the good news is I have an early morning lift to Plymouth where I can catch a direct train at 8.35 getting in 10.20. Hoping I can still claim a refund as obviously going well out of my way here.

I'm a postie, and was down there early evening to empty the post box so went past the entry queue. I had to laugh at some people dressed in black trousers and full on goth gear, when it was about 30 degree heat. I was melting in tshirt and shorts.

GWR have an amended timetable for strike days at some point today. Then tomorrow there will be an amended timetable for the Wednesday and Friday.

These last few days at work are killing me, can't we just start the festival now?

I'm travelling from Cornwall. Looking on the GWR website the trains still appear to be running okay on the Wednesday. Will be a huge amount of people travelling from Plymouth so as long as I make it there I should be fine.

Anyone else travelling by train on the Wednesday? I'm still holding out hope my train will be okay.
