I think there's a few simple things that would have made a big difference last night - obviously the extra staff and water points are included there. But there should be standalone water stands, selling boxes/bottles and nothing else. You should have water etc at the food stalls too, would make a big difference. And I think there should be a few bigger acts down the beach to split the crowd too. If Charlie was down there last night instead of the main stage, the crowd would have been split a bit more. Same for Caribou or Jamie xx, and maybe disclosure tomorrow. There's a lot of space to use on the site but a lot of the main stuff seems crammed into the one area.

Oh my. That would be amazing!! It has taken a little bit of time but I can start to get hyped again now. Yesterday was a real roller-coaster from losing the Strokes to (essentially) gaining Caribou and then the mess inside, but the beautiful highs of Fred Again, in particular. I'm gonna need to rest up a little while this afternoon and then try Low. Hopefully the new water points and extra staff can help to ease the pressure.

Can I give you my bar order too? You've got it figured out 😅 Agree re the main stages. It's a little distracting during the set too. I wonder how it will work for acts with no major visuals/stage set up. They might look a little lost on there.

Bar queues were awful and the Sharon van Etten crowd surge was genuinely scary, I hope people avoided that. I've had a really good time since - Tame Impala was excellent, Fred Again even better. Met Fred at the bar too and he was so chuffed at the reaction he got. Long gap now to DJ Shadow hasn't helped but we go on.

Are they cash only? I feel they may become important this weekend.

Crowds around SVE were crazy. We abandoned ship. Didn't feel safe. Hope that's not a sign of things to come from that stage. Much much busier everywhere this year. How much did the capacity increase? It honestly feels like double my last time here. Bars queues are nuts everywhere too. Might just not bother this evening. Not being able to get water anywhere isn't helping though.

Sailed through the entry. Ran perfectly smoothly the whole way. Now time for a beer!

Huge benefits for the VIP there. The queue was huge for the one weekend people. Hope everyone enjoyed it. We decided to call it quits when we saw how long the line was. Will try catch them during the fest though.

If the mobile ticket check runs smoothly, it shouldn't be too bad. A lot of people will be arriving late on Thursday evening so before 5pm you should be fine. A disclaimer though - the ticket system is new so no one could say for certain how well it works yet.

I wonder if some of the bars will be app only, and others open access to everyone? Seems like a potential mess, but also exactly like something they'd do.

Drink prices are up on Access Ticket app. Dunno if this is the full range. Also has soft drinks for €3 and water for €2.

This is it - it's the same issues facing hospitality and some other sectors. A lot of people were let go during Covid and never came back to those sectors. Lots of EU countries reporting same - ireland, Netherlands etc, so not a brexit issue (for once!)

Mavis isn't a banker for me, just the most likely at the moment because I'm unfamiliar with the rest but I'll dig now. Les Amazons d'Afrique might need to be on there. I'm really liking the sound of this! And it's a real shame about Black Country New Road. The album from this year is great.
