Feeling rough but testing negative. Putting it down to (hopefully) just some post-holiday blues and a bit too much booze and a lack of sleep.

I think if they timetabled Bits better, the whole thing improves. Every time we went down over weekend one, it was half empty but there were very few of the biggest acts on down there. I reckon if they'd stuck Disclosure, or Caribou (before the main stage move), or Charlie (she's there this week, right?) on the main stage down in Bits, the crowd splits and a lot of people would stay there. Yes, you'd still have a mega crowd for someone like Gorillaz (and, I suspect, Dua Lipa), but that's what happens when you book v big acts. Say for this weekend, stick Run the Jewels or MIA on in Bits and see if it helps. Would some people be disappointed about their fave acts being further away and having to choose? Sure but if it is a matter of crowd safety, it has to be done, really. I don't expect any of those changes this weekend BTW, but maybe for next year.

Re the Ciutat gigs, I think the organisation could've been better. Not a biggie for me as it was a tacked on extra (as far as I was concerned), but what they should have done was have a raffle for tickets, even if they were free. X number enter, you find out in advance if you get it or not, and any no shows go on the door, first come first served. Keep it all pretty open on social media so no one is wasting time queueing for a gig that is impossible to get. And that could have included city folk who don't have weekend tix, as well as weekend 1, 2 and vip.

Headed home after a great weekend. No issues at all with security or passport control in BCN - EU passport though so dunno if that helped matters. Great weekend. Can't wait for next year already. Enjoy weekend two folks.

That's more promising. Currently allowing for About 2.5 hours.

Ugh. I was hoping I wouldn't need three hours in that airport but might be necessary so.

For those who travelled back already - any issues with airport queues in Barcelona? I'm out tomorrow evening so just wondering how far ahead I should arrive.

I am not in good shape today. Think some combination of hangover, heatstroke and the post-primavera blues! Had a great few days, though. Fred Again, Idles, Nick Cave and Beach House all very special sets. Here's to 2023!

How was the Access to/from Binance yesterday?. The Sharon van Etten show on Thursday was frightening and I've a few bits on there today that I'm keen to see. Hopeful it's resolved since everything else seems to have been fixed.

So good to hear so many positive reports from yesterday. I'm exhausted now but we had a great time too. No issues with bars or crowds (bar some chatting but that's expected these days) and really enjoyed Beck, The National, Caribou and Jamie xx. It is absolutely wild that they initially wanted Caribou to play on Cupra - the main stage crowd they got was huge. I really didn't think they could fix the issues so quickly but it's great that they did. Gonna take it easy for the day now before Nick Cave, Gorillaz and Beach House later on.

Tonight is 100% better than last night. No issue with bars, crowd is chill. Its the Primavera I know. Saw Wet Leg (only okay I thought), Beck, National and Caribou. Last three excellent as far as I'm concerned.

Great to hear. I'm sure the queues will get longer as it gets busier but hopefully it will still be manageable. Lots of people with drinks in hand - a very good sign!

Did they play the new stuff? They've said they're doing different sets tonight and tomorrow so just trying to see what's in store.

Security staff going around the Low queue telling people there is "no chance" of getting in. My own fault for not getting here earlier but am disappointed again.

Jesus christ. An extra 30,000 would be total chaos.

I think there's a few simple things that would have made a big difference last night - obviously the extra staff and water points are included there. But there should be standalone water stands, selling boxes/bottles and nothing else. You should have water etc at the food stalls too, would make a big difference. And I think there should be a few bigger acts down the beach to split the crowd too. If Charlie was down there last night instead of the main stage, the crowd would have been split a bit more. Same for Caribou or Jamie xx, and maybe disclosure tomorrow. There's a lot of space to use on the site but a lot of the main stuff seems crammed into the one area.

Oh my. That would be amazing!! It has taken a little bit of time but I can start to get hyped again now. Yesterday was a real roller-coaster from losing the Strokes to (essentially) gaining Caribou and then the mess inside, but the beautiful highs of Fred Again, in particular. I'm gonna need to rest up a little while this afternoon and then try Low. Hopefully the new water points and extra staff can help to ease the pressure.

Can I give you my bar order too? You've got it figured out 😅 Agree re the main stages. It's a little distracting during the set too. I wonder how it will work for acts with no major visuals/stage set up. They might look a little lost on there.
