I think this will be an eFests controversial opinion, so here goes... It's not worth doing the overnight queue. I did it in 2017 and 2019 but you end up starting the festival knackered and there's not that much benefit other than the location of your tent. It's quite cold and then the dew dampens your kit. Luckily we have friends who are happy to take our tent, so we're heading down on Wednesday afternoon instead.

I'd like to vote for keeping them in the thread! After a while, things tend to slow down as site access gets more restricted. Remember those YouTube videos of delivery drivers recording their drives around site in 2019?

Yeah, 5G will be at the festival. They set up a network within the festival and it was quite good last festival - they processed an impressive amount of data through the network: 100TB. There's also a WiFi network around the EE recharge tent. I'd expect press releases towards the end of the month and/or when the app relaunches. Before I worked for them, I bought a 1-month SIM for £15 to use their network instead of Three.

I suspect they have a bit of slack in the length of the fence because of the gate up to Worthy View?

I suspect they’ll be trying to push cards even more because of covid. I’ll probably take £100 for places that don’t accept card or for when it’s down, then top up with the machines where needed.

I'm mainly posting this in the hope that someone from GFL is looking at it. The contact form is broken and any email address I've tried to guess doesn't work. 😄 Peeing on the land tends to still be a problem despite the pledges and posters. I found it to be a particular problem around urinals, especially in the SE Corner, where guys would just piss in the corner of the tarpaulin-lined fencing instead of queuing. I wonder whether the festival might want to put some posters/signs in the corners of the waiting area for the urinals asking people not to piss in the bloody corners. Rant over.

The one redeeming feature was I dropped my phone while mangled and someone took it back to their caravan and charged it for me, and then I got it back. But largely not for me - only went because Elrow used to look fun and it was Elrow night.

I tend to end up there during the closing party. I'd recommend getting a trip in on Weds/Thurs and don't plan on seeing a particular set! The moustache thing is a good shout but tbh it doesn't really help as people started to pass out moustaches to a friend through the fence, so the main queue didn't move and the re-entry queue just built up. I'm of the (probably unpopular) opinion that the re-entry queue should be axed.

Where is Babylon Uprising on site?

I kinda wish they'd not said anything. Not least because you can bet that Worthy Farm have seen and noted it.
