  1. While it started rather good, I also think that was my last Sziget if promoters won’t change the way of operating festival. Lineup was okay, not splendid but also not terrible, and let’s be honest Sziget was never about lineup in the first place, this festival attracts you with its atmosphere of joy and celebration, which was ruined for me this year. Smaller festival area in general, less place for basic camping — people had to set near walking roads, bridge looked poor, no Flag Alley near A38 / Freedome, no sculptures, no Luminarium, no decorations in general. Lack of something massive like drum show with fireworks in 2019, no fireworks and glowsticks at Calvin Harris show. Everything felt so cheap in comparison with 2018-2019, while prices rose enormously — from tickets to lockers. Food became almost twice more expensive (1200 HUF for a slice of pizza in 2019 vs 2000 HUF in 2022). Dust was horrible, kept bandana on my face 90% of time, didn’t help much, still coughing and probably will be for a couple of weeks. And the last but not the least is telling from the main stage every day that you don’t care about the nationality, religion or sexuality of your guests and then allow to put “Russians are terrorists” on the main stage screen is the greatest hypocrisy I’ve ever seen. Met many people at the festival and when was asked always responded where I from, never heard any bad word towards me or my country in general, but when the festival agreed to give a stage to the so-called “artist”, who literally tells “Russians are barely people” on its show, for one moment I just felt unsafe to stay at the island. To end on a good note, my top-3 shows this week were Jungle, Caribou and Arctic Monkeys. What about yours?
  2. It’s my fourth Sziget and I’ve never seen so few people at a headliner’s show there (probably The National could compete, but I was at the barriers, so couldn’t see what’s on the back)
  3. Stromae was magnificent, but the crowd near me was mediocre at best. JB also was better than I expected, but that 10-minute instrumental in the end was really out of place (although sounded good). Turned out Woodkid is not my kind of concert, like a movie soundtrack without movie, too epic and pompous. And Jungle have outdone themselves, one of the best shows this week so far IMO.
  4. The amount of dust after Dua was insane, don’t remember such after Ed Sheeran sold-out show. Immediately put bandana on my face and still woke up next morning with black snot and for reason unknown still feel beaten, I don’t want to get the festival flu only after the first day 😦 Otherwise it was a good start!
  5. Even more, my friends plan to camp using only basic camping and they're really nervous about that area marked as "free camping" could be the only place to camp without additional upgrades.
  6. Passport scans are online. https://issuu.com/sziget/docs/sziget_passport_eng_issuu
  7. Updated clashfinder according to this: https://clashfinder.com/s/sziget2022/ Ran-D and Cleopatrick are on lineup page but not on timetable and don't have stage times on their pages. Masked Wolf is missed both from lineup and timetable pages, so probably out - which is strange considering he was one of the main "quick-filler" acts for last minute dropped off artists this season (Rock for People, Weekend Festival Finland etc.)
  8. Arctic Monkeys: 21:15-23:00 Clutch: 22:15-23:30 (end times are approximate, but still)
  9. Possible plan B to replace Justin? A bit risky for promoter's reputation but still will attract many fans.
  10. I used to think so but this year literally half of their headliners are guitar-oriented. There are many bands in the undercard, just not so famous yet, new generation of rock (Black Honey, Nova Twins, Palaye Royale, Giant Rooks, Iceage etc.)
  11. They will probably announce Gorillaz after they play their Primavera dates.
  12. In 2019 it was the end of April...
  13. In 2018 Zhu played secret set on the Main right after headliner IIRC, so it's not impossible.
  14. Hope so! Got my visa (even now they are issued by many European consulates), got a flight with a stop in Istanbul. Flights from Russia to Europe now take more time and money, but they are available. The main issue is festival tickets as payments with local bank cards are now unavailable abroad, but I hold mine since 2020.
  15. All possible fingers crossed that AM and Clutch won’t play at the same time.
  16. Some smaller names for Main Stage / A38 / Bacardi Arena. It's worth to wait for Europe Stage lineup, always had some hidden gems. Also Volt Stage, since 2019 they moved from Hungarian only acts. DeWolff, Idiotape, Leoniden, The Inspector Cluzo, to name a few. Tribute Stage can be hell of a party 😀
  17. Pendulum (Live) and Netsky announced for Volt, so out of Sziget.
  18. + Burna Boy, Jack Harlow, Frenna Deluxe, Kevin & The Animals, The Kooks, Oscar and the Wolf, Caribou, Declan McKenna, Dubioza Kolektiv, Enny, FKJ, Gayle, Koffee, Remi Wolf, Yves Tumor, Kamo Mphela, Lauren Sanderson, Nana Adjoa, Tkay Maidza, Yussef Dayes.
  19. Everybody - don't get your hopes up too much.
  20. Was there in 2019 and kinda like it. Looking at 2020-2022 lineups and how they are selling makes me think they just found cheap and easy way to fulfill local youth's needs. If you see him live for the first time it's a really fun show and great party, for the second time it's ok, for the third time you realise that he uses same old tricks, patterns and even lines when he speaks to audience every time and every year.
  21. To conclude, as for now we have: Definetely not at Sziget: Muse, The Killers, Bring Me the Horizon, Sum 41, Yungblud, Skillet, Passenger, Scarlxrd, Borgore, Virtual Riot, Funtcase, Martin Garrix, Dimitri Vegas & Like Mike, Marshmello, Alesso, Lost Frequencies, Yellow Claw, Carnage, Becky Hill, Moksi, Paul Kalkbrenner, Alok, Jonas Blue, Malaa, Modestep, Timmy Trumpet, Dillon Francis, Imanbek, Nervo, Sikdope, Robin Schulz, Vini Vici, Paul Van Dyk, Topic, Blastoyz, Parov Stelar, Tom Walker, Sam Feldt. Some August European lineups near Sziget:
  22. off-topic: @Sziget2022_Leaks did Volt find a new headliner for 25.06?
