  1. Yes it's strange! I remember the days when they played below Radiohead on main stage.
  2. Actually not a name at all I'd like to see this year..
  3. How about Arcade Fire? Could they be the missing co-headliner on Thursday?
  4. I wouldn't mind RW actually. I prefer him instead of Stromae.
  5. Some nice names! I´m happy with Liam, Iggy Pop, Röyksopp and Interpol.
  6. Of bands I´ve seen in other festivals I´d go for Liam Gallagher, Franz Ferdinand, Prodigy, Pet Shop Boys, Foals, Foo Fighters or Guns & Roses. I still mourn we don´t get Blur or Depeche Mode.
  7. Not sure I know who Black Pink are. Are they big in Belgium?
  8. Foo Fighters is a good guess I think. Lolla Paris has only announced pop/rap acts so far so I assume the announcement tomorrow will be a rock band.
  9. Haven´t been there myself but I think the best way is to take a flight to Copenhagen in Denmark and then take a train directly from the airport to Sölvesborg. Alternatively, take a flight to Malmö airport and take a bus to Malmö or Lund and then a train.
  10. And Pink into Rammstein another year.
  11. That's a relief then. I'm still hoping for Blur.
  12. Yes not my cup of tea either. Is he headlining?
  13. Ok, cool, then we are in agreement! Happy new year!
  14. I think totally opposite! Since they're keeping some famous songs on the setlist and circulate the rest I can't find a better way of making a setlist than RHCP.
  15. Nice initiative. Here are my acts that I´ve seen before: Arctic Monkeys: They are a solid live act in my opinion. I remember people saying that their set at Werchter last time around was boring but I thought it was a great concert. 7/10 Black Keys: They are a good live act as well. I wasn´t that invested in them last time I saw them so now I look forward to see them again after listening to them more. 7/10 Editors: They are ok I think but not much more. I saw them during their peak but I found them boring after a while. 6/10 Muse: A really great live band! Their albums have been underwhelming the last decade but they are still on fire live. 9/10 Queens of the Stone Age: Another wonderful live band! I have never seen a bad concert with these guys. 9/10 RHCP: As in the case of AM I think this band is better live than people give them credit for. Sure, the singer can be out of tune sometimes but the band is usually very tight, even today. 8/10 Sigur Rós: This band was a welcome surprise last time I saw them! They have a very unique performance and are way nicer live than on record. 8/10
  16. It is indeed a Belgian festival but aimed at an international crowd. In the past Werchter have almost always had a universally known headliner on the Thursday. The last 5 editions for example contained Pearl Jam, Pink, Gorillaz/Queens of the Stone Age, Kings of Leon/Arcade Fire and Paul McCartney as Thursday headliners.
  17. I think that varies from year to year. One year Radiohead were announced as late as March for example. And Stromae may be big in some countries but he's totally unknown in others.
  18. I agree! I don't even know who Damso is.
  19. It's indeed very subjective! Sunday would have been the best day for me😉
  20. I'm still sad the 2020 edition never happened! A very solid line up apart from the weak day.
  21. BBK live announced new names today: Bilbao BBK Live adds new artists to 2023 line-up | Bilbao BBK Live Of those I wouldn´t mind having Phoenix, M83 and Röyksopp at Werchter.
  22. Well they both had successful debut albums and Lady Gaga for instance already had "Bad Romance" being played on the radio non stop. That being said, the fact that this year (so far) has a poorer line up than 2009 and 2012 imo, Rosalia might play main stage after all.
  23. I guess that too! Lady Gaga played in the barn in 2009 for example. Same with Lana del Rey in 2012.
  24. God help us all! Edit: Danger averted apparently.
