Same here🙂 There might be a slim chance actually since they were a success last year at the festival. However, I am pessimistic after the last batch of announcements. But it ain´t over til it´s over.

Totally agree! Especially considering the fact that almost all other European festivals have a lower ticket price than Werchter.

Haha, that would really send people into a fury! I personally hope Lenny is co-headlining with Massive Attack. They play in a french festival on the 7th so they are around during those dates.

Yes, I read it. But not to Werchter as I understood it.

I don´t think they are. As far as I know, they have never co headlined at Werchter. Instead, they have had a strong undercard before them for example War on drugs in 2022 and Jack White in 2018.

That was indeed unexpected but same thing happened in 2015 i.e. Lenny was announced out of the blue as a headliner. I´d prefer Pearl Jam but Lenny is actually pretty good live. In 2015 he co-headlined with Prodigy so I guess the same thing could happen again. Or with Massive Attack (possibly wishful thinking, I know);)

Bloody hell! At least it gives some hope that Massive Attack plays nearby Belgium the same weekend as Werchter.

NBT played pretty far down last time. Around 2pm in the afternoon. Don´t know if they gained in popularity in Belgium though.

Still a bit disappointing that The Smile, Massive Attack, PJ Harvey etc. are nowhere to be seen. Hoping for better news soon regarding those.

I think the Hives, The Streets and (unfortunately) Sam Smith are probable from that bunch.

Same here! I find it odd that they haven´t played Werchter for such a long time. They are a really good live band.

Massive Attack, Prodigy and Arcade Fire announced for BBK Live. Would love to have any of them at Werchter.

Festivals where you can stay in Hotels

I visited Way Out West this year and if you book hotel in advance the festival is actually within walking distance. We had about 20 minutes walk to the festival entrance this year. -
A great list! I would also add Paul McCartney on the list, even if he would be considered a surprise.

Massive Attack are playing Northside in June. I hope they will finally come to Werchter.

You might be right. It's mostly wishful thinking on my part. But I wish more for the Smile.

It happens sometimes that Werchter repeat an artist. Red Hot Chilli Peppers played both 2022 and 2023 for example.

Queens of the stone age wasn´t included in the Graspop ananouncement today. I hope that makes them more likely for Werchter. Unless Pinkpop grabs them.
