I wouldn't rule it out for that reason. The Offspring has more listeners on Spotify than those 2 artists so clearly they are still popular.
-
I still think moving Iggy Pop to main stage is the most realistic solution (assuming they can´t get a new headliner). In that way they won´t change day for any of the acts.
-
Well, back in the day, Faith No More showed up when Foo Fighters cancelled.
-
They could also switch Iggy Pop to Main stage and make him the headliner (if they don´t find a decent headliner from outside in the coming 50 days).
-
That's a shame. They would have been a better pick than Stromae imo.
-
Apart from Blur and Placebo, also Depeche Mode, Måneskin, Kings of Leon, Robbie Williams, Foals and Pulp seem to be free on the 29th of June.
-
But Blur will still potentially be good for the ticket sales up until a certain point. Just bumping up the 1975 and Sam Fender would likely not sell more tickets at all. Anyway, we can be happy if they manage to produce a new headliner at all this close to the festival. But they succeeded once with Faith No More.
-
I guess I can get my irrational Blur hope going again😉 Or Placebo could show up.
-
Damn! Will be even more difficult to sell out Thursday now. Unless they find a proper headliner at last minute.
-
So what artists are you planning on seeing now given the current schedule? I will do it like this: Thursday: Weyes Blood, Anna Calvi, The 1975, Sam Fender, Iggy Pop Friday: Cavetown, Spoon, Bear´s Den/Hot Milk, The Black Keys, Liam, RHCP Saturday: Vintage Trouble, Dead Poet Society, Interpol, Sigur Ros, DeanLewis/Muse Sunday: Destroy Boys, Lumineers, Lil Nas X, Queens of the Stone Age, Arctic Monkeys Looks like a pretty busy year after all;)
-
True! Last year both Pearl Jam and Metallica were given 2 hours each.
-
Liam/Editors are the worst clash for me. Also Muse/Dean Lewis but only because my daughter wants to see mr. Lewis.
-
They should have booked Blur😉 Anyway, hope his health improves!
-
Ok, sounds nice but I don't dare to hope for a big act! Hoping for bad ticket sales then for Thursday in order for the organisers to get a bigger incentive to improve the line up on that day😉
-
Well, Ken19 wrote this on March 3rd: Thursday main stage is not ready yet Might just be an early afternoon act though. Main stage is usually 7 acts per day and now it's only 6 acts on Thursday.
-
Anyone know when we have the actual stage times? Don't remember when it was last year. I suppose a factor this year is also Kens comment that the line up on Thursday's main stage isn't finished yet.
-
I don't think it's 100% accurate. I noticed the Rock Werchter app from last year can still be downloaed and there you can see last years stage times if you want to compare.
-
My schedule would look like this (assuming the clashfinder is correct): Thur: Weyes Blood > Anna Calvi > Sam Fender > Royksopp > Iggy Pop Fri: Cavetown > Spoon > Black Keys > PUP > Liam > RHCP Sat: Interpol > Paolo Nutini > Sigur Ros > beginning of Murder Capital >Dean Lewis> end of Muse Sun: Nova Twins >Lumineers > QOTSA > AM
-
And I hope Dean Lewis and Muse won't clash too much. Not a fan of the former but my daughter is hellbent on seeing him.
-
Sunday tickets almost sold out!
-
It depends on the year. Last year it sold out in February but I've also experienced it never selling out at all.
-
Not sure about that. The 1975 played 5th down on main stage in 2019. Sam Fender was supposed to play 3rd down last year, but only in the Barn.
-
I might add that Suede and Prodigy are free as well. Probably wishful thinking.
-
Some last minute predictions based on Mad Cools line up: Janelle Monae, Kaleo, Kurt Vile, Franz Ferdinand(?), Offspring, Primal Scream, Bombay Bicycle Club, Years & Years (hopefully not).
-
No news today either! Possibly because Dour made an announcement earlier today. Hoping for next week instead.
