Not too many clashes for me either actually. My schedule will probably look like this: Friday: Tom Odell, dEus/Tom Morello, Måneskin Saturday: The Last Dinner Party, Nothing But Thieves, Avril Lavigne, Dua Lipa Sunday: Brutus, Breeders, Pretenders, Zara Larsson, Foo Fighters I won´t go on Thursday but PJ Harvey, Black Pumas and the Hives would have been a must.

Probably not a good sign at all. As a comparison 22 tickets are sold for Rock Werchter and zero for Way Out West.
-
Jessie Ware and Tems added to the line-up!
-
No I was not at the front of the gig and attended Way Out West in Sweden. But I definitely agree with your point regarding MTV vs Spotify.
-
I´d say people listen more to Spotify than the radio these days. I saw Blur in a festival last summer and the audience could sing along to at least half of the songs. Doubt Sziget will book them though.
-
No, Blur have at least 6-7 hits outside the UK that I can think of. I think it's more likely instead that Coachella had a dull crowd.
-
+ AIR!

Thanks for the info! I think the ban on bags will also include festivals but as far as I know there is no official ban on bringing drinks to the stage. I was at a football game in Stockholm a few weeks ago and there you could bring beer into the arena (but no bags) so hopefully we can still drink beer in front of the stage at WOW.

More names (more electronic stuff this time around) - Chase & Status dj-set - Overmono - Bibi Seck - Yung Singh - Eris Drew & Octo Octa - Karen Nyame KG
-
I agree! I also miss Alvvays, Bloc Party, Blondshell Two Door Cinema club and (dare I say), Coldplay.
-
Another batch of names: - Andre 3000 - Thee Sacred souls - Elmiene - Muva of earth
-
Friday is sold out (finally).
-
More names added: - Ellen Krauss - Nation of Language - Blondshell - Glass Beams - Serpentwithfeet
-
It doesn´t seem like Friday tickets are selling out fast after all. Werchter announced last call for Friday tickets 2 weeks ago but they are still selling them.
-
New acts announced + day splits: M.I.A., Refused, Saint Levant and the Heavy.
-
Finally seems like they will announce more acts tomorrow judging by their facebook post.
-
Hopefully you can do it another year instead. I agree about the line up vs RW (which surprised me too being a long-time Werchter fan). But judging from neighboring festivals WoW might get the likes of Fountaines DC, Idles, the Kills, Yard Act etc.
-
I agree! The Thursday alone makes it worth attending. Also they haven't announced that many so far so I think there's good chances for more nice bands.
-
New names: Wednesday, Markus Krunegård, Augustine, Amaarae and Barry Can´t Swim.
-
Good news! Will they announce the concert times at the same time?
-
They have announced the day splits now. Thursday looks best for my taste: QOTSA, PJ Harvey, Big Thief and The Smile. Also, it looks like one more big band could fit on Saturday since the National is the only "big" artist that plays that day.
-
I don´t have any info but Stockholm cancelled their Lollapalooza this year. Not sure how the various Lolla´s are dependent on each other though.
-
I agree with everything you said. Of course it´s Werchter and there will be many good things to see but I still feel very let down that they missed so many good acts this year: The Smile, Arcade Fire, Massive attack, Prodigy, the National, Lana del Rey, Pulp etc. My daughter really wants to see Måneskin and Dua Lipa so I will go to Werchter regardless for 2 days this year and then go to Way Out West as a bonus;)
-
Some nice names for me with Johnny Marr, Frank Carter and Pretenders. Thursday looks really good now. Edit: the new poster looks like this:
-
For me it's the opposite. I think this is the best WOW-line up in at least a decade. I'm especially keen on seeing Queens of the stone age, The Smile, PJ Harvey, Pulp, the National, Slow Dive and Big Thief.
