    Tour postponed ....

    Band statement:

"We are absolutely gutted to announce that we have decided to postpone our upcoming tour this January.
As the Covid pandemic seems to be getting worse and with the overwhelming number of daily cases it feels like a particularly volatile time to go ahead with such a large tour. People’s safety and access to our concerts is of the utmost importance to us and we feel that is something we can’t ensure at these large indoor shows. We are already working to get rescheduled dates confirmed ASAP and will be making an announcement in the following weeks, all tickets will remain valid for rescheduled shows. We are sorry to do this but we feel like this is the responsible decision for the current climate of the pandemic."

    Who - Idles?

This was my thought.. the campsites are way too busy to be Wednesday morning. And some of the people seem way too quiet which would suggest hangovers 😀

Yeah it seems right. The sun is shining, ground is dry. Also whilst it’s quiet, folks also looked bright eyed and bushy tailed.  They have not yet acquired the ‘thousand yard stare’ following 2/3 nights of high-jinks 😂

Absolutely! I don't have VR but being able to choose where I look with my mouse is amazing!

    It's a like another world isn't it!

Agree with this. Thanks @stuartbert two hats for posting. God I can’t wait to get into these fields again…….

when do we think these were filmed - Thursday morning 2019?

  4. I have had an alert on Twickets for Manchester where they are playing two nights. I have a seat ticket (only one I could get when they were on) and I wa going to try and buy a standing ticket on twickets to swap. But it all got too complicated so I gave up. But reason for saying is that the tickets seem to be be both digital and physical going by the tickets going on sale. The one I have from See is physical and I don’t have it yet. So I would recommend you stalking twickets as when the tickets are sent out the people who don’t want to go anymore can sell them. But they are going very fast. Twickets is a great reselling site and should be used instead of the other sites especially fucking viagogo.

You say that. @chuckles07and I spectacularly failed to do just that last time! 😄

Better luck this time 😊 Sadly can’t do BD this year. Just come back from Latitude and if you go for it as everyone seemed to there it will be even better given the vibe at BD. Standing in a field with loads of other folks all enjoying the same experience is bloody straightforward but you forget how amazing it leaves you.  Enjoy!

Just about to set off for the 6 1/2 hour drive down.
Latitude was my last festival, so 2 years. 2 bloody years.

So so happy to be finally going to one, can't wait. Even the shifts will be a joy I'm sure (although I'd prefer a role where I get to wander about rather than stuck on a gate like last time)

See you all there in a couple of days!

See you tomorrow hopefully. Safe trip down.

Last 16, Semi and Final. Positive test day after final after starting to get symptoms, must of caught it at the semi and my bet is on the tube post match.

The whole testing thing was an absolute farce, they may aswell not of bothered and if thats the 'testing' to be in place for further unlocking etc again it may aswell go in the bin.

Interesting about the testing procedure. I am volunteering with Oxfam at Latitude and this is their procedure which we have to follow, which as it is a test event run by Festival Republic I assume it is a FR procedure. Is this different to that which you and the other guys had to follow?

    Oxfam COVID-19 Testing Procedure

You are required to take a lateral flow test (LFT) before you arrive and share the results with us to prove that you do not carry the virus. You can order tests online for free HERE or you can ask at your local pharmacy for a pack. You can find your nearest pharmacy HERE.

The test must be carried out on TUESDAY 20th July between 4pm and 10pm

Please can we ask you to do the test as close as possible to 4pm and email it through to us as soon as it is complete.  This will enable us to do as much checking as possible during Tuesday evening – which will be a big help!

In order for this to be valid we need you to follow the instructions below. This should take around 30 minutes:

    - Take a picture of the test next to your photo ID (which shows your name and face) before taking the test. This needs to show your ID alongside the LFT so that the digits underneath the QR code can be read in the picture.

    - Take the test as per the instruction booklet and wait the 30 minutes required to show the result.

    - Upload your results to the official NHS website HERE. Please make sure to fill in your email address to get a copy of the record.

    - Take a picture of your ID alongside the completed test, again making sure the digits underneath the QR code are legible.

    - If your test is negative, forward your NHS email confirming your negative test result with the subject line "Latitude LFT Results" to us at xxxxxx and attach the before and after pictures of the LFT with your photo ID. Please you send just one email, with the subject line above.

    - If your test is positive, please forward the NHS email confirming this test result and attach the before and after pictures of your test to xxxxxxx and we will cancel your place. You will need to self isolate in line with government guidance

Please make sure you email your proof on Tuesday eveningbefore 10pm, otherwise you will not be granted access to site. As mentioned above, please do this as soon as you possibly can on Tuesday.

Me too. Quite a lot of us judging from the Latitude section on here.

I've been once before. I'm assuming/hoping the crowd will be more up for a party than the usual blanket brigade - it's a festival that's actually happening, and they've booked the Chemical Brothers! But I guess a lot of people there will be rollovers from last year, and this is a place where the family camping section is as big if not bigger than the standard section.

Tickets still available. I reckon there will be quite a different clientele to normal, the ‘Islington family weekend away’ mob may well be a little cautious? I did 2018 & 19 with Oxfam and will do so again, even though I said I wouldn’t be going back. It’s a nice festival but it feels a bit flat, very little passion, certainly when compared to the independents (GM, BD, Big G, BT etc) and the beer choice is shite. I hope it is a great experience this year, it will certainly be different 😊.

Me. Did it last time and it was fine, but didn't love it. Hadn't planned to do it again (apart from anything else, its so far away from me) but when I didn't get a place at the Download pilot I figured it was my best chance of a festival this year so signed up.

Yup me too. Did in 18 & 19 and was not that bothered but need to do at least one festival this year. See you in a Suffolk field at some point.

I won't be doing anything with Oxfam unless I do Worthy Pastures.

I've still got tickets for Landed, Green Man/Beautiful Days (same weekend but hopeful one will go ahead) and End of the Road, so keeping fingers crossed for those.

Next Oxfam one is likely to be Bearded Theory.

Green man/ BD 🤞🏻  Both great festivals.

  12. Am going to Latitude as an Oxfam volunteer, just got in today as was meant to be doing Womad so got preferential access to the extra volunteering slots Oxfam nabbed. I know quite a few on here are going as punters, anyone going with Oxfam?

Back on topic: just snatched a ticket to Latitude – a little surprised they're still available after the recent confirmation it's going ahead, but very excited to go.

Yes I was very surprised when I checked this morning, weekend camping tickets still available.  I think the crowd at this years festival might be a little different in demographics than normal maybe, less Islington in Suffolk?

  13. Am liking Damon Albarn. Mopey but good. Especially at this timeof night after a few stiffeners to relax.

and it is fun with us watching at different times. Looking forward to Smile.

Wasted nearly 2 hours, but now I have got it going I have to say it is brilliantly produced- great sets, beautifully shot and the sound quality is top drawer when played through a good sound system 👍

Yep this. WA, Michael K, Haim so far very very good. Not a great fan of Idles but it looked great. Shame about the noise 😊😳. The filming and sound so far is amazing. I hope the filming gets the credit it deserves when the shit show fades.
