  1. Yeah, I've got a non-F&B blackout tent, it's dark in there and I got maybe an extra hour or so before it became a sweat box compared to what I'm used to with a non-blackout tent. Serves me right trying to save a few quid, if I was in the market for a new tent I'd 100% go for the F&B with this knowledge.
  2. I'm packing a canoe this year.
  3. I have only been to Reading once in 2008, and on waking up on the second day there were laid 2 enormous turds. Each was identical in every way and they were laid side by side and perfectly parallel like the worlds worst tramlines. My neighbour at that festival happened to be, of all people, Andrew Kerr, who was an absolute gent all weekend supplying me with coffee and anecdotes whenever we were hanging around the tent. Although I never queried it, I've always believed it was him who removed the monstrosities as that was absolutely the kind of behaviour he demonstrated all weekend.

Nabihah Iqbal on Arrivals stage is my highlight (apart obviously from the mighty Bobby V). I'd been hoping she'd turn up somewhere on the lineup this year and my prayers have been answered.
  5. Now we know why Madonna pulled out, she wanted a double pointy pyramid stage.
  6. Let's be honest, Joe's probably got a spare pair just hanging around at the yard.

Honestly all 4 albums are great. The current record is very accessible and I'd expect at least half the songs they play will be from it. Their live performances are really tight. When they last played West Holts was absolutely chocka on a fantastically sunny glastonbury evening that was the perfect setting for them.
  8. I recall there being a stack between Paynes (when it was still called Dairy) and South Park in the past also.
  9. No, thankfully blessed with the bladder of an adult and I'm pretty sure that you're never more than a couple of hundred meters from a toilet/urinal anywhere in the festival.
  10. 20 mins down the road from you in the ditch and we used to do the same with identical results. I've tried a few arrival strategies from the overnight queue to arriving at dawn. Last few festivals I've switched to coach and arriving later in the day Wednesday when the queue's died down, I find this the most stress free arrival strategy, off the coach, maybe 10-20 mins to get through the gate at most if you arrive lunchtime and straight in any time after 3pm.
  11. Enjoy the 3 days of half decent weather we're going to get before it all turns to sh*t again.
  12. I've got a feeling we'll be seeing an announcement each Friday.
  13. Am out of upvotes today, this is fantastic news. I'd seen a suggestion that they might be playing early doors on the other stage, guessing the other slot is going to be Truth stage again.
  14. I made that mistake in 2022. They cancelled the connecting coach from Bristol to Brum and I ended up waiting nearly 4 hours for the next coach. Not making that mistake again, booked direct both ways this year (£34 each way national express).
  15. I say it'll be the last one every year, to the extent it is a running joke now with friends, but I'm pretty sure this is my last one. I was too skint for it last year, can just about scrape it this year and I'm not as fit and healthy as I was.

  17. I was walking down the railway line towards avalon one year when everyone coming the other way was absolutely covered, I was a little bit spangled at the time and my brain couldn't parse what I was seeing.
  18. I checked mine again after reading your post.
  19. I'm sure come Monday we'll have the usual collection of people on twitter complaining that they missed the payment window and blaming anyone but themselves.
  20. I came home from 2016 with sunburn. We didn't leave til mid afternoon on the Monday, they'd been pulling people out of the carparks with tractors earlier in the day, ground was rock solid after a few hours of blazing sun and we were out in about 5 minutes.
  21. I seem to recall that the weather started to improve saturday morning, Friday night was a catastrof**k of rain but by mid afternoon the ground was solid and dry.
