Uncle Liam
More of the blandness we've come to expect from John Giddings and co. What is the obssesion with phenomenally SHIT "singer songwriters" all about? last year: Morrisson, Nutini this year: Macdonald, Tunstall, Faulkner. And Starsailor? WHAT THE f**k?!?!?!?!? Andrew_iow
I am sure the whole point of festivals is to see some "top" acts and to give some acts that you might not listen to any other time a chance. If you don't like the line up like chownsy don't go simple as, I am sure there is someone out there that wants the ticket(s). The organisers of a festival have to try and cover almost everybody's tastes in music and YES some poeple must like the acts that are playing else they wouldn't be. If we all like the same types of music the world would be a very bland place... Black Stone Cherry are not my cup of tea but I aint moaning about them. *rant over!*

manda
I'm pretty happy with the new additions, Starsailor and Delays are both excellent bands who I've travelled far and wide to see before and having seen them both a couple of times before at IOW always seem to do well there. Amy Macdonald and Newton Faulkner are both pretty good additions, although tend to agree that we are getting a lot of singer/songwriter style acts this year. They both seem to have relatively earlyish slots so it'll be good to chill to in the sun (fingers crossed) One night only seemed good when we saw them recently and am hoping to catch them over the next few weeks on tour again- bit like The Kooks so again should do well in the sun. Joe Lean didn't particularly impress me, and not really familiar with The Answer or Black Stone Cherry so can't comment on them! For me, it's just saturday that's looking weak, sunday looks good now and there are 3 decent acts friday which is about average so i can relax a bit now knowing it's not been money wasted!
