Tickets Sold Out?

Hi all,

First post so please be gentle!

I've been looking around at the official site and various other places at ticket information for the festival and have seen a fair few people saying the camping tickets had sold out. I'm a festival virgin and am probably asking a totally stupid question but I have literally just purchased 2 camping tickets from Ticketmaster this morning (13/12/07) and the transaction seems to have gone through without any issues so how can tickets be sold out? IF they are sold out why are Ticketmaster still allowing customers to purchase?

Just wondered if anyone can shed some light on this and let me know whether I have actually managed to secure the 2 tickets I thought I had purchased or whether the people saying the festival is sold out are telling the truth!!

In addition my confirmation receipt from Ticketmaster says I have purchased 'FULL PRICE PRESALE TICKET' for 'Isle of Wight Festival 2008 - Camping'.

Someone please assure me of my Festival place and put my worried mind to rest!

Thanks

If ticketmaster say you have tickets you have tickets. :P Welcome by the way!

Ticketzone's site said on Monday that they had no non-camping left, then camping said sold out but its back saying there are camping again, and here on the Island I havent heard any news on how well/bad the tickets are selling. If I do I will be sure to post it.

sometimes they sell tickets in blocks.....so they put a handful on sale and when they've sold out they release some more.....

Ticketmaster are one of the biggets ticket sellers in the UK if not the world, you are highly unlikely to have any problems with them. Just chill and look forward to the festival. I've used them for plenty of other events although think i've always used red funnel for IOW.
