Listening to 'Whale Song' at the moment.

I think it's really cool and I like the vocals from Irons on it too.

'Lost Dogs' is a really good collection of lesser known PJ tracks...should have 'Soldier Of Love' on there though.

It is, they are a big slab of dull American rock.

What attacks? A list of bands was mentioned, and I made comments about some I liked, and some I didn't. He said I talked shit (because I disliked some bands he liked), I said he talked shit. He then called me a prick. What could be more bland than that?

Brad are my favourite Pearl Jam side project. I like Shawn Smith's vocals and the melancholy funk of it all. http://www.myspace.com/brad to anyone who hasn't heard. 'The Day Brings' is a lovely little tune.

Pinback - what's your favourite Pinback tune/album? I only own Summer in Abaddon and the Offcell EP in terms of CDs. Both brilliant. Looking to get more.

    • Proper special gig tonight. They won't mean much to most people, but The Dogs D'Amour were one of the most significant bands of my youth.   Tyla, yer main man of said band, was playing in Birkenhead tonight. Not many there, but it was going fine. Then he decided he didn't like the smoke and the flashing lights so suggested moving the gig to the beer garden. Off we all went, and it was magical. Like having your favourite musician play in your garden. I absolutely loved it.   Before:     After:
