Hi, anyone applied for first time litter picking job and had the application accepted? Getting nervous as thought we would have heard by now.

Have you been asked for a deposit? Admittedly, I am a returning recycler, but mine was asked for, and sent, back in January, so you should have got past that stage by now. If not, and you haven't heard either way, I would drop Fiona a line - she's a very nice person and won't mind you asking. In previous years, I got the impression that people signed up for recycling, but still tried in the resale, and dropped out of picking if they got a ticket, so you might be on a reserve list for if and when people drop out. 

If your cheque has been cashed and you're just waiting for shift, then worry not - last year they were allocated around May 5. This was again, presumably, so as to wait for the resale and drop outs, rather than having to re-allocate slots .
