Tent Quality

Hi, just looking at getting a tent (for life, not just for Glastonbury) and I'm wondering do you get what you pay for, or are you mostly paying for the brand of the more expensive ones?

I'm looking at a 2 layer dome/tunnel tent, rather than a pop up

You are paying for the brand but it is the best brands that will last.. Spend as much as you can afford but if I can give you a little advice look on ebay and maybe get a good tent for festival season one that can get ragged and in some cases ruined and then a really top of the range one for the years ahead camping..

You could as I've said just get a tent for Glastonbury this year then pick up one on Monday when people leave... There are plenty of people with to much money who buy top tents and just leave them.. Help the planet and take one of those..

Just a thought

Before we got the wagon we accumulated about 10 tents at one point.all of which came from festivals . I've given them away to friends and family now but still have 2 massive ones and a couple of stealth tents for when we don't use the van
