They're meant to ID you if you bring alcohol in, however from my experiences, they tend to turn a blind eye to it. Not so much the case with glass though.

Nope.

Due to people getting family members, close friends etc to buy them their tickets which happens a lot.

I know it could help to stop touts like the glasto system and I think they should have something like that in place at every festival IMO.

Touts only make a killing when tickets are in demand. That hasn't happened since 2011.

that is true so many of friends decide to go about a week before (since 2011) + have no issues getting tickets
