Do it, although not been to TitP myself, I was going to a few years ago after getting a very very cheap ticket off eBay. What branch are you going into?

Haha, you'll be all right if you're planning on being a pongo (I'm a matelot). Just camp somewhere sensible with people around your age & ask if you don't mind joining in with a drink or if going to be an officer... offer a few around.

It will be fine! As long as you are sound and good chat with those around you they probably will have no issues with you joining in. Every year ive camped in the main campsite we've always ended up drinking with those around us.
