I've had a day now to take it all in, watched a bit of the coverage from my planner and have just been reading some mistakes that kalifire has made.

I just wanted to express my gratitude and appreciation of all the different posts of the last few months.

I've read them with gusto as I've prepared mentally and physically for the weekend. My wife and my festibuddies have been giving me a little shit for all the stuff that I've been doing to prepare for the weekend.

I can say here and now that my first glastonbury would not have been the resounding success that it was if it wasn't for all the snippets of information that I have procured from here.

I was camped in a perfect spot for our needs(South Park I think it was nr ped gate d), the lists that I digested on here were excellent and the map that was posted on here meant that I almost knew my way round by the Thursday morning.

My only regret- if you can call it that, was due to the mud and my tiredness, mogwai- one of the bands I really wanted to see, seemed a long way away, so Metallica won, and they were ace.

So thank you Neil and all the regular posters which have all played an integral part in me having one of the best weekends of my life

I missed the S hook tip but will deffo be carrying one in future.

I didn't even get the s hook tip but I will definitely be carrying one next time since my waterproofs fell off the door for the long drops bursting a can of cider inside, wasn't thrilled at the time
