Choosing Campsites

Hi,

Im completely new to festivals and camping and hopefully weston park in august will be my first one.

When i buy my ticket on ticketmaster should it be asking me where i want to camp?

Because when im buying it it just says 'unreserved camping'. Does that mean when you arrive on the day its just a first come first served basis of whoever makes it to the campsite first gets it?

Ive seen some people buying tickets on twitter and putting pictures on saying things like 'Emma! Youre going to V Fest - Weekend - Red camping'. But when im buying mine i cant find the option for the campsite i want to go in, it just says 'unreserved'.

I think the Chelmsford site sells tickets for the camping based on a number of different locations of red, blue, green etc so you have to choose in advance.

At Weston Park you just buy a camping ticket and decide when you get there which one to go in. Obviously the one you go in depends on where spaces are
