England should be well and truly eliminated from the World Cup by the time Glasto comes around

For WC14 though, I'll just clear it up with what I worked out on the last two threads this came up.

If England are in one of groups E-H then they'll play a final group game on the Wed/Thu at 5pm/9pm. This is the ideal scenario.

If England are in one of groups A-D then, should they qualify from the group, they would play a 2R game at 5pm/9pm on the Sat/Sun. Obviously this isn't ideal.

They may have a slightly better chance of the first option happening as if England are among the top seeds (on rankings we're not but FIFA tend to unfairly rejig it for the bigger footballing nations which would put us in there) then it's like a 57% chance we'd be in the last four groups as Brazil are automatically on Group A.

Finally, if England do not qualify then there will be a lot less whinging on here.

Anything other than Wednesday 5pm and I wouldn't bother, and even then i wouldn't definitely watch.

So much more going on than England drawing with some minnows.

Has an England game ever happened at headliner time before? What would they do? No football and you'll get a lot of annoyed people, but what would it do to headliner acts crowds if this happened? And they wouldn't know til a week before. Could be very interesting
