Seems to me to be something of a "Cliff Richard is dead" stylee thing although perhaps somewhat wider rumourmongering than just amongst those lucky peeps currently lurking in a field or two somewhere in deepest Somerset ! Providing you choose to believe dubious sites various on t'internet slightly more than Security peeps at Glasto:

Bill Wyman Death Hoax Dismissed Since Musician Is ‘Alive And Well’

News of musician Bill Wyman’s death spread quickly earlier this week causing concern among fans across the world. However the June 2013 report has now been confirmed as a complete hoax and just the latest in a string of fake celebrity death reports. Thankfully, Former the Rolling Stones bassist is alive and well.

On Friday (June 28) the musician's reps officially confirmed that Bill Wyman is not dead. “He joins the long list of celebrities who have been victimized by this hoax. He's still alive and well, stop believing what you see on the Internet,” they said.
