Best route from M5 to campervan east, avoiding street?

Going down midday from brum on wednesday. once went down to taunton and through the back roads to castle cary took a while but no jams. bit worried about traffic jams towing a big caravan. any good routes to avoid street/ glastonbury to get into campervan east? (I know I should be in CV west..just prefer east)
